ID take Miles in a heart beat. We have Al Goldon so it's hard to bash any other coach out there.
 
He can be too conservative but definitely has a good defensive system

Far from perfect I say he is a B- as a coach but he can run circles around Golden

I''m not asking if you'd **** a 4 because you're ******* a 2. I'm asking if Les Miles is a 4.

Good coach. People are blinded by his personality, and think him being an actual idiot makes him a bad coach.

He's won consistently there.
 
I don't get why they're so terrible offensively, is it bad QB recruiting? the system?
 
They have a lot of player turnover cause they develop their players and they usually leave after their 3rd year. Hes a good coach, had saban not been at bama, miles would have had another national championship or two.

LSU takes football so much more seriously than UM but yes, I think Miles scores high on the corch scale. But again, when your administration is fully committed to a winning program, I think you have more margin for error in being a corch as long as you can hire top-notch coordinators and recruiters.
 
People think he's a Corch because he's an offbeat dude.

Look at what LSU did for the 20 year period before Saban and Miles. LSU was a pretty crappy program for a long time, so it's like you can just hire anyone and have great success there.

Compare Miles' results to all the guys before him. Miles will win most of those comparisons.

Just the opposite. If a program is all in on football, the HC gets far less leeway for corching than he does at a place like UM. Ask Muscrap.
 
Not sure if he's a good corch or not but I do know that the perception that he's beloved by that entire fanbase is way off. I give him credit for being pretty much the only $EC team to consistently play a somewhat legit OOC schedule but the Jenwrong factor is still nauseating.
