Is Lashlee the most significant hire since Butch?

Disagree. There was no reason to give Richt an extension after 2017. He wasn't leaving for anywhere else. Just a terrible business decision. We could have been in a situation right now where Miami could be stuck with Richt still calling plays this year since we couldn't afford the buyout and a new HC. Fortunately, Richt is a stand up dude and loves the U enough that he resigned and didn't force their hand.

You can’t recruit with what looks like a lame duck coach. Every program routinely adds one or two years to the end of a coach’s deal when they have two years or so remaining.

Blake james should already have a contract drawn up. Sample size is large enough. Lashlee took us out of the depths of **** with no off season and a transfer QB
Luckily, this is Blake James' strength

You are wrong.

Golden for one, wasnt even extend by James.

Morris was extended in 2014 with the understanding he was going to retire in 2018. It was finite and the right thing to do with a legendary coach. Won’t even mention the fact that when he signed it Miami had been to 10 college World Series in 13 years under him. Are you actually saying he didn’t deserve it?

Richt was extended after the second year of his contract after winning the Coastal and putting together a 15 game winning streak. Extensions like that are the industry standard and are done constantly, usually for recruiting continuity.

So aside from being wrong about everything, like you were with your preposterously wrong stats last week, your post is spot on doofus.

On a side note, I’m a little tired of completely owning you daily. You may want to move on to save whatever dignity you have left.
You’re struggling here. You own nothing but factually incorrect generalizations that I blow up on the reg.

Richt and Morris were both premature extensions. Every objective person knows this. Keep trying to make excuses and trying to pretty it up all you want. Richt was zero threat to go anywhere. Sure... Extensions are standard for coaches who are a threat to leave, not one that said this was his last stop before retiring.

Morris was on the backside of his career, and we were in a stretch of five years without a CWS appearance, longest since our rise to relevancy, so no, an extension was not needed. A new coach was. Giving Morris a premature extension to allow him to retire here set our baseball program back a few years. Blake got taken again.

”or so?” another horrible generalization. He had 3 years left and was zero threat to leave.

It makes absolutely no sense for him to leave for another OC or G5 HC job. If he's smart he'll wait for a P5 job like Aranda. That'll come in probably another yr or 2

Is that enough? Aranda was at 2.5M last year @ LSU... should offer him that and be willing to go up. Blake needs to tighten up and not let this good thing go... this is perhaps the first (maybe second with Richt's 2nd year) time he's tasted football success. Assuming Rhett wants to stay and not test the HC waters, get the contract done close to the end of the season and announce it during the UNC game with everyone (croots) watching.
Paying him that much will allow him to only leave for a quality power 5 job. He wont have to go lower level because he will be payed as much unless he just wants to lead a program anyway. He can wait for right situation

We're really going to debate the extensions? Nobody would ever bring it up if it weren't for Golden's extension.

Threat to leave?

Threat to leave?

Threat to leave?

Threat to leave??

Threat to leave??

It’s standard operating procedure doofus. I can give you more examples if u like.

Please stop for your own sake.

Putting Lashlee in BUTCH DA GAWD space is premature.

Is Lashlee the single best hire since Butch left, yes, yes he is through week 3.
That's why I used the term significant. Still needs time to mature but right now he looks like the real deal

Manny needs to "convince" Rhett that staying at Miami another 2-3 years is the best long-term decision for his family.

If a parent can’t convince his son to play for Miami, how can Manny be expected to convince an adult Lashlee to stay in Miami? Bringing Lashlee to Miami alone is a victory to Manny. I’m sure Manny knows that Lashlee will depart someday and he will get a replacement.
