Is Lashlee the most significant hire since Butch?

Next year when Lashlee is offered a HC job would miami be better of with him as HC or Manny. I give Manny props for turning things around but I think Lashlee is more important and has a higher ceiling. Not saying Manny won't be great without him but I think about the falcons letting Shanahan leave then the team regressed. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Hopefully Lashlee is holding out for a certain type of a job. He’s been very intentional about his steps so far, so I can’t imagine he’s just running to the first job he gets offered as a HC.

Just in case, I hope Lash has got a young padawan on staff that he's teaching the ways of The Force to. We have to keep this thing rolling.
Would probably end up being Likens who was OC for ASU prior to coming here. It didn’t go well but he was also playing true freshmen QBs. But that’s if it we were to keep it in house.

Knowing Manny though I don’t think he’ll settle for that. Get me Lincoln’s little brother, Garrett who is now the SMU OC so there would be some offensive continuity.

I really have to give it to Manny. He is determined to not let himself or this program fail. Hiring Rhett Lashlee is agame changer. Are we “back”? I won’t say that until they are a legit playoff contender but I’m feeling really good about where we are heading. 2 straight prime time games with a third likely coming in two weeks is gold right now. Pull out a win at Clemson and it’s on. Even if they stay competitive recruits will see it cool to play for The U again.
Yes!!! And it’s not even close. This guy has brought a generational change to our offense/team. A good comparison would be like Howard bringing the pro style offense to us In an era when CFB was all about the option and 3 yards and a cloud of dust. Lol

I think Rhett and D’Eriq are a combo package. On their own, they are impactful, but together they can be program changing. It’s not fair to mention one without the other. Rhett’s system is great, but he needed D’Eriq to run it. Think Nkosi or any one of the other QBs would be this effective? **** no. Next year will be an issue - but I’m gonna enjoy this year first.
He didn't have King at SMU and did just fine. What he did need was a good QB THIS season to jump start things. Next year he'll have three QBs that have been in the system a year. We'll be fine.

Can’t argue too much with that. Just hope you are right about next year. 🤞

it will be a miracle if either coordinator isn't a HC someplace else next season after Miami goes 12-1 or whatever our record will be our only loss coming in 2 weeks . But I trust Diaz to replace both studs with news studs.

Do you ever make a factually correct statement? Or even something that makes sense?

Like ever?
Another mouthbreathing post. Richt was extended through 2023 back in 2018 by Blake, so you need to ask yourself that simple question. This easily blows up your original claim that “Blake never extended anyone prematurely.” Getting hammered by Clemson, the final exam, should not have warranted an extension 3 years before his original contract ended. Richt was not a threat to leave to go elsewhere. BLAKE IS STILL OJT. You really gotta take your orange and green glasses off to look at the facts and be objective.. Just like you were wrong about LSUs D getting “torched“ by every good O they faced.

I'd say the most significant hire is the DC that ended up becoming the HC and hiring Lashlee.

James hasn't given any premature extensions.

Disagree. There was no reason to give Richt an extension after 2017. He wasn't leaving for anywhere else. Just a terrible business decision. We could have been in a situation right now where Miami could be stuck with Richt still calling plays this year since we couldn't afford the buyout and a new HC. Fortunately, Richt is a stand up dude and loves the U enough that he resigned and didn't force their hand.

Yep. He also gave Jim Morris a premature extension after 2014 and mistakenly named Dimare coach in waiting instead of doing his job and putting together a real coaching search. The jury is still out on Dimare, but he has definitely stacked the deck in his favor.

You are wrong.

Golden for one, wasnt even extend by James. Shawn Eichorst did.

Morris was extended in 2014 with the understanding he was going to retire in 2018. It was finite and the right thing to do with a legendary coach. Won’t even mention the fact that when he signed it Miami had been to 10 college World Series in 13 years under him. Are you actually saying he didn’t deserve it?

Richt was extended after the second year of his contract after winning the Coastal and putting together a 15 game winning streak. Extensions like that are the industry standard and are done constantly, usually for recruiting continuity.

So aside from being wrong about everything, like you were with your preposterously wrong stats last week, your post is spot on doofus.

On a side note, I’m a little tired of completely owning you daily. You may want to move on to save whatever dignity you have left.

After the season give him 2 million to stay one more year, then he gone.
Is that enough? Aranda was at 2.5M last year @ LSU... should offer him that and be willing to go up. Blake needs to tighten up and not let this good thing go... this is perhaps the first (maybe second with Richt's 2nd year) time he's tasted football success. Assuming Rhett wants to stay and not test the HC waters, get the contract done close to the end of the season and announce it during the UNC game with everyone (croots) watching.
