Is it just me?

I'm a huge Canes fan going back decades.

Is it just me or does it seem like something else is influencing the team over the past decade or longer? We've had many coaches with the same results. I've seen the look of shock on Randy Shannon's face as a receiver drops an easy catch. I've seen the missed tackles and blown coverages that give up TDs. I hate to say this, because it sounds like I'm being insecure, but could someone such as Nevin Shapiro be paying players to lose games? Even while in prison he could have had outside connections to do this and then he bets against the Canes in Vegas to make a profit. I hope I'm just being paranoid, but was wondering if this ever crossed the mind of anyone else?

Over the past decade or so we have made dumb, lazy, careless hires. So we get dumb, lazy, careless results. Thats the common denominator. That’s the only thing “influencing” us and will continue that way until we care enough to make a real investment for a real HC.

I was sayin something like this to my brother in law the other day. Guy used to coach NAIA football in the Ozarks back in the mid 90s, LBs and wide receivers, real smart fella, coulda played D1 ball but blew out his knee in the state playoffs his senior season, was getting looks from Tom Osborne himself, wasn’t the same afterward, been divorced twice but still knows the game, could use your prayers if you think about it, his boy got into death metal and crystal meth, he’s a good kid though, let his body go but heck who hasn’t, haha, but yeah he wondered the same thing as you.
