Is Homer the guy or will Lingard pass him?

Homer is a very good back. He consistently made explosive plays throughout the season. We desperately- and this is true for as long as I can remember- need better blocking. They have to upgrade our OL if we are ever going to be truly back.

Thomas Brown doesn't really rotate guys. I would guess Homer and Lingard are 1-2, with Deejay back at receiver and wildcat. Davis redshirt.

He'll rotate guys if they're ready

Going to get some hate for this but
Homer showed up more in big games than a lot of our rbs have in the last couple of years in this 1 year alone
148 yards vs #3 team in the country 8.5 ypc
64 yard td run vs #13 team over 6 ypc
First game starting 170 yards vs ga tech

Remember when people said that Homer was better than Walton?

Yeah, that was good.

i think homer well start the year but eventually lingard well pass him up

This. Homer , Lingard and DJ are all NFL backs . Homer is great our Oline just is average but Lingard is once in a lifetime great.

Homer isn't getting passed by anybody. They workload will be shared, and necessarily so. I'm surprised he is still in one piece.

Use jet sweeps with Lingard/DeeJay, and have 1) Homer 2) Lingard 3) Davis.

Move DeeJay to slot.

The thought of Homer with a good OL excites me. Doubt it’s him. Our OL sucks donkey ****.

Homer lingard and Dallas will be our rotation next year and Davis redshirts. If we get anything from burns, gravy.

Davis is really good and could be used in goalline sets.

I thank Miami fans are sleeping on Cam Davis. He played against better competition in high school and looked like a beast. He looks closer to what Mark Richt is used to having at Georgia.

He’s a little guy so I’m not sure how good he’d be in goal line. Also, I know he was banged up but he had a real subpar senior year. A bit concerning to me.

All I got to say, we know Travis Homer has a great burst. Deejay dallas looks like he does too which is getting me excited about his potential in the offense next year.

I dunno man, DJ looked better than Homer at times. I can't tell if it's because our OL sucks that much, the passing sucks so no one respects the run, or if Homer isn't RB1.

Let them fight it out. Competition will bring out the best.

Dude, don’t apologize for bringing facts to the board. Homer is a good back, getting playing time for the first year. His vision has improved and his O-line blocking has not. The problem is Miami’s offense always looks like it’s operating in a phone booth while the other teams - all other teams - have Miami’s defense spread across two states. Thankfully Miami’s defense has football players over just athletes right now.

If the offensive line doesn’t improve by leaps and bounds it won’t matter who starts

Need more O line talent. Remember when they said Clemson rotates 8 O-lineman throughout the game. That was eye opening..
