Is Donaldson worse

Seriously. From Freshman AA to this???? WTF happened? Can anyone who understands OL play please explain it to me.

Simple, not improving his body and not perfecting his technique. But he thinks he will be a second day draft pick, LOL. He is being told so from agents that will make enough from his contract for a big night out on South Beach. Will play a couple years on an NFL practice squad based upon his size and potential. He has not made the commitment at UM. Maybe he will or won't in the NFL?

Valid criticism is fine, technique criticism is fine, Coaching and speed criticism is fine,
But................keep it objective and don't get personal with the guy.

He is sweating his balls out there, trying to rep our Canes.
He is putting in the time to play and do his thing for OUR team.

Now we giggle at the " fat guy",' "can't bend", overweight, slow dude, juggling positions etc......ok, but as fans should we get personal insulting with a guy who is part of our U?.......come on...
.
The guy has feeling too, and let's face it....he wants to win by doing something, and that something is playing for our U.

We shoot off comments through a keyboard, and have not done anything to warranty insulting personal attacks on players....

mdpcane, I support you my brotha, but that pic.........would hurt that kid......
We are better than that....... as fans for someone bleeding our orange and green, support every player by not getting personal...smh..

Well stated and I agree about not making it personal. But he is listening to agents and not putting the work in. Yes, he wants UM and him to be great, but he is just not putting in the work on and off (weight room, nutrution) the field to make those desires happen.

The problem is it isn't just the freshman. Look at the last few "Upon Further Review" threads. The only one I haven't heard being called out for blocking the wrong guy or not picking up the right guy is Scaife.
And yet I've watched Scaife get absused off the line, only for Perry to escape leaving Scaife another chance to block the guy he just got owned by and Scaife didnt want none, didnt even block the defender, lile he didnt know he was allowed to do that.

He even played TE in HS. He was a Freshman AA. Was very athletic. Now hes not even functional The babba BaXa of OL. Not saying it to be mean but he appears to have regressed to the point of disappearing

Donaldson was always too heavy and too soft, which is the recent Canes offensive line tradition.

But it wasn't overboard to the point it obscured his strength and ability. Just lose 10 pounds and toughen up. Instead somehow it went in the other direction, to the point it's more humorous than anything else. It shouldn't be possible to walk into a meeting or locker room and think...yep, I'm a Power 5 offensive lineman, maximizing my potential. It also shouldn't be possible for a coaching staff or conditioning program to allow this to happen.

Cribby described it best. Bumbling and stumbling to the point of parody. Donaldson with the extra 30 pounds is like Fat Albert only
this is not supposed to be a Saturday funny.

Poor coaching and bad offensive scheme make this offensive line look like sh*t. I’m tired of blaming the kids for the 15th straight season

Scaife has been called out multiple times. You’re blinded by your **** sucking of him
LOL, that's pretty stupid. Just read the posts and who stands out, Nelson, Donaldson and Campbell when he was playing. That doesn't mean the others don't make mistakes.

I swear some you ******** have ***** on the brain with all this **** sucking and glob slobbering *********.

Man shut thee fizzuck up with all this fake “above the fray routine”. we’ll call them WTF we want & no one cares about your childish “grown men discussion” propaganda bullShyt.

Those are all grown men out on the field that can enlist in the armed forces & kill another human for the sake of our country but we can’t call them out for horrendous play? Now they’re just kids? 🤣🤣🤣

FOH

lol I Chuckle. You too Cute.
If you understand what I said instead of rambling out the mouth ....then maybe you could think a little better. We can call them out there play nobody said they couldn't but crossing the line is another thing going at any player. I see more insults then reason he is playing bad. Feel free to disagree it cost you nothing pay me no mind blood besides ... didn't your mom ever teach you to STAY OUT OF GROWN FOLKS Business!

Now carry on Thanks for posting!

Be Bless and GO CANES!

He probably is. At the very least he looks like he doesn’t want any part of contact most plays

Donaldson is overweight. He can’t move or bend at his current size.

He hasn’t been the same player since he came back from his ankle injury from his freshmen year. I don’t even think he considers going pro after this season. Needs to spend all offseason in the weight room and sandpit.

Lance suggested turning to Campbell at LG for a series or two against GT.

Couldn't hurt.

Problem I have with Barry is that the group looks lost. Being that it's a young line, it's reasonable to expect they'll get overpowered here and there, but they literally have no idea who to block at times. That's on Barry.

Agreed. He so far has been the most disappointing hire.

Offensive line is nothing but communication which is not going on with our line. You can see when ever a man on defense gets in there is always lineman double teaming when it is not needed. That's on the coach that it continues to happen
But what about Zion getting beat like a drum in one on one situations. All that communication ain't helping him get out of his stance any faster.

Well that still coaching because you continue to put him out there know he's getting beat out there. Zion needs to work on his technique and his kick step.

He’s massively overweight and appears to play timid. He’s been steam rolled by linebackers lighter than him by over 100 pounds. Those issues are on him. Lacking a mean streak and allowing yourself to get fat are personal choices, not coaching decisions.

Donaldson has regressed.

Going forward offensive line recruits need to be athletic and have a mean streak. Without that there really is nothing to build off of.
