With all the talk about how bad Zion has played, I honestly think Donaldson is just as bad if not worse. The majority of the time that there is pressure in the backfield big ole 55 is either flat on his *** or looking around like someone stole his snack when he wasn’t looking. He showed promise as a Fr., played out of position last year but he is ******* awful now

Most over rated linemen we've ever had here. It took three years of garbage for everyone to realize for some reason. He had a chance to reshape his body to help him move under Feeley but decided to suck on lard lolli-pops all offseason instead.

I think you used the wrong pronoun for your daughter in regard to her "manning" the LT spot. I learned all about this watching the LGBTQ debate. (Yes, I was one of the 14 people who watched it according to the ratings) 😭 Not really

There’s actually a debate here, ones a true Fr and the other is a junior , multi year starter. Donaldson literally trips,falls down or doesn’t even block somebody half the time. He’s like a wounded calf.

He’s so fat and out of shape he can’t even pull, or if he does pull it’ll take five minutes to get to the defender he’s blocking.

I cant remember the game but Enos had him pull on a play action , to help sell the run, Williams had to drop to the ground or he might have been killed lol. Maybe it was unc.

He’s really bad.

I’m actually surprised that haven’t flip flopped him and gaynor since the staff said ND played well at center. Gaynor would be a far more athletic option at guard and ND would just be helping people at center , less chance he falls on the ground.

I dunno man, I think if #55 was out at LT he might actually look worse than Zion. Zion can at least move.
 
Donaldson has great size but his strength and footwork have not developed. He really needs to build his lower body with a good deadlift and squat routine along with some leg extensions and leg curls.

Jumping rope and doing plyometric exercises daily would increase his low body power and footspeed tremendously. This issue is partly with him and partly with the strength and conditioning department.

It was great that Zion added weight at the start of football season but his struggle is with his strength.

Problem I have with Barry is that the group looks lost. Being that it's a young line, it's reasonable to expect they'll get overpowered here and there, but they literally have no idea who to block at times. That's on Barry.

Donaldson looks like he’s at least 30 pounds too heavy which is crazy to even think about
 
Honest question...

Has he been bad in all games? Was it that he just had a bad game last week? Is it that he just been noticeably missing on the interior offense line? Let's not rush and overreact on things. I'm just trying to put things in perspective here . To be fair to him -the kid has been asked to move around a lot on this terrible i call offensive-offense line . That can mess up a person rhythm especially in this position and any former olineman can tell you that . Seriously. Granted he does look a lot heavier and slower. Also I know we are all upset about this position group in particular brother but is it worth an attack on a kid who just so happens to play for a team we all love and root for? No shade at you but remember he is an growing young man first , college student 2nd and most of important of all someone son. IJS


P.S. - I have no bond with this player it's just the former coach in me that knows whats acceptable in all aspects in football and in life. Sometimes we have to hold ourselves accountable even when we are as adults as well.
