I also don't see them becoming billionaires financing our athletic department. I am curious as to how and why you score them so negatively and how you would think they would make more money in accounting or law.I am fully aware that my take may not be the most popular and I’m ok with that. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that profits, earnings and the AMD aren’t always the best rubric by which to score people and their behaviors.
I also understand everything you wrote and I’m ok with you thinking that way. I just don’t agree. I don’t see these people becoming the billionaires financing our athletic departments. Maybe I’m wrong on that part..only time will tell. I do know though that had they chosen a STEM degree, accounting, law, et al, they could make more over the life of their careers without having to resort to posting their post boob job photos for (brief) attention, clicks and likes.
I hope this happens. They get paid to market products and maximized NIL. Worked for us when it got our team to the Elite 8. Social media marketing takes time and work. The twins, Dunne, Alix Earle all continue to make money doing it. Good for them. And for the most part, good for Miami, since 3 of the 4 are Canes, with one setting up a scholarship to the business school.
I think I will root for those Canes to do well... so well that they become like the Texas Tech billionaire financing their athletics...

I can only speak for myself, but the twins were great when I interviewed them and they were big-time competitors on the court. Top-tier Canes in my book. Why do you continue making up defamatory fantasies about these young women? This is strange behavior and why is it so rampant on this site? @DMoney
The difference is simple. I’m placing the value of my own ethics above the cash income in this case. Maybe if it were me being paid high six figs to post bikini pics, I’d do it. That choice isn’t for everyone and I don’t think I’m morally superior for thinking that way. I also haven’t forgotten my user name and the other 85% of sophomoric drivel I post. I think they’re capable of more/better.I also don't see them becoming billionaires financing our athletic department. It would make them more money to go back to law school for 3 years vs. continuing to leverage the marketability they made being D-1 athletes while earning degrees in business or communications... essentially making money in their field of study? --- not seeing it. Not sure how it makes any of them bad people.
So if someone gets a business degree from Miami using the Alix Earle scholarship to help them on the way, they are of better character than the person who went to Miami, got a BBA in Marketing, started their own company making money in marketing and established the scholarship?
I do. Both. These girls work hard. The twins post about family, working out, god, food, fitness and whatever brands they get paid to market. Livvy Dunne is national champion gymnast. Alix Earle is a million dollar influencer. They all have degrees. When they get criticized for posting their asses or guys being guys, some of that is they get what they put out there -- some of it is they probably aren't 100% wrong. I don't agree with everything any of them do, but I am not overly offended by it either. I am glad they are getting paid to play like never before...The difference is simple. Also, you don’t have to answer this, but do you have a daughter? Kids? For many/most, having children makes you see the world a little differently. If you have kids, you’ll understand what I’m saying. If you don’t, you likely won’t.
I don't see how it can't be about self esteem. imo the kardashian's did what they did to look better? They had an image they wanted to live up to. My 80's comment is more about putting your life on film for others to watch. It's one thing to act like someone, dress a certain way, and get a crazy *** hairdo.. it's another to put plastic or silicone in multiple parts of your body to change how you look when you're young.
