I remember back when Bosher the GOAT was here, we had a bunch of kickers on roster vying for pt. But Bosher the GOAT wouldn't relinquish any duties.

Why does it matter if only one is on scholarship?

Because we have 5 defensive ends on our roster. Do we really need 4 backup kickers when we don't even have enough practice bodies for the D-Line?

he was 4-8 with 2 kicks blocked and 2 misses from 45+. Made all of his XPs. Kicking in HS is s variable with snaps, holds, line blocking, etc, there's a reason coaches recruit based on camps

Jokes aside, kicker is probably the toughest position to transition from HS to college. Bigger, heavier ball, kicking off the ground and not on a tee, the goal posts are 4 & 1/2 feet narrower and kickoffs are back five yards.

Oh for sure that’s why I’m expecting feagles to do a lot better going into year 2 ... also he was the top rated kicker so I think he will transition well those specialist sites don’t really hand out those rankings so I believe he will be fine but I think it’s key he gets acclimated first
