So you expected Golden to have built an elite team under the **** this program faced the last 3 years with the NCAA crap going on? Golden faced a major rebuilding job to begin with without the threat of NCAA sanctions looming.. That just made it more difficult. But yeah let's live in make pretend world and pretend that didn't impact the team in a major way.
U ***ers need a dose of reality jeesh..
So the sanctions and the cloud were the reason we allowed 90 points to Duke and VT last year? Is that why we chit the bed? Is that why we're 15-13 in the ACC?
I feel better now. We need to extend Golden before it is too late.
Actually in a way yes.. Defensive depth was thin especially at DLINE. Also defensive talent was shoddy especially the seniors. Recruits being swayed due to the NCAA uncertainties was well documented. Funny how with improved talent and depth this year we shut both VT and Duke down.
And the cloud explains the following?
Here is every L since 2012 (12 in Total)
UL in 2014 (31)
NEB in 2014 (41)
GT in 2014 (28)
Duke in 2013 (48)
VT in 2013 (42)
FSU in 2013 (41)
UL in 2013 (36)
KSU in 2012 (52)
ND in 2012 (41)
FSU in 2012 (33)
UVA in 2012 (41)
UNC in 2012 (18)
Average Points Allowed in a Loss: 37.67 Points
11/12 Games our D allowed 28+ or More
When you need to bring in talent, it does have some effect on that. The scheme of course doesn't help, but there's no magic scheme to make up for bad players.
Right. Losing 30 of 70 recruits is an indicator of a bigger problem. That's not dumb luck, that's lack of understanding how to manage people.
