Dang, never really realized just how bad those Adidas jerseys are in comparison...and let's not talk about the replicas they have...!

I just hope that, once we start balling again, and it will happen, we escape this Adidas deal somehow and re-up with Nike for a much bigger deal. I am not digging the adidas gear at all. I know we won't entirely find out, but I would love to see the apparel revenues from our first year with adidas compared to the nike years. i know plenty of people (myself included) that will not buy a single piece of adidas gear. the tackiest and worst quality materials i've ever seen.

Spot on. I remember Michigan's apparel deal did not fare well retail wise. They lost, iirc, like 25% on the first couple of years. Just looking at the players still rocking their Nike gear is all you need to know.

i can almost guarantee (let's just use the all canes poll while the adidas deal was being negotiated; something like 90% of the fans polled preferred nike) that miami will not come close to matching their apparel revenues during the nike days. God how i long for our 2014 nike uni's...made the adidas 2015's look like optimist uni's.

Truth be told, I don't know why everyone was complaining about the 2014 jerseys. Besides that wack color combo in which Golden chose (Orange top, Green pants) the unis themselves were solid. They complained about the green lids, in which I had to remind folks that the green lids are throw back lids w an updated touch. Nike did us right w the throw back jerseys too back in 05.

Adidas focus is and will always be F*tbol. Like I told everyone, the moment that the NFL switched from Adidas to Nike, the apparel sales shot up by 500%. Watch what happens to the NBA after they make that switch, too. UT took less money to go w Nike b/c they wanted to rebrand itself, and they knew kids are Nike fans. UA was the switch we should've made to when we left Nike. You already have Reed and Lewis repped by them...that would've been a good look for us. As we can see, our practice jerseys are already de-lettering w Adidas and they have is looking like a high school team w MIAMI plastered in front of the jersey.

100% agree. If we were going to switch, it should have been with UA.

Hoping there is some sort of buyout clause after the first 5 yrs or something. I'll get off Adidas back when they present a product they promised to give us...something clean, and something that mimicks the 80's/90's jerseys.
