What does a victory this Saturday mean to this program? College Gameday is in town. Miami hasn't beaten a top 3 team since 2005. "Is Miami back?" Recruiting? Community?

In my opinion, this game reminds me of 79' Penn State, 98' UCLA, 00' FSU program changer type game.

Either way, ND has a 4 game winning streak vs. us. Last time we beat ND was in that epic game in 1989 what many consider the loudest game in the history of the Orange Bowl game. This Saturday we should make it the loudest game in the history of Joe Robbie.

Winning in Charlotte and making the playoffs is more important.

Not that I want to change the subject but a loss on Saturday means we don't make the playoffs no matter what we do moving forward. We need to win out for the playoffs.

Clemson is a top 4 team and I think will be a top 4 team when we face them.

If we beat them I believe we can still make the playoffs.

Richt said the way they measure being back is by winning championships. Yes you have to win big games along the way to doing that but winning championships is the measure of being back.

Yeah we are only bAck when we win it all. other wise we are just a good football team. We need to re earn respect from the cfb world like Fsu did in 2013.

New era with new positive outlook is what it means to me."Miami is back" is back, but with a new style, a style which
would make the future fans/players wanna be like when they look back into this era.

win or lose the program is moving in the right direction. This is probably the worst roster richt is going to have for the next five years.

So you are assuming we win this Saturday? Because we won't be in the top 10 any longer if we lose Saturday.

Not true. A loss against ND will certainly hurt our chances, but we could still make it to the playoffs. 11-1 including a win at the ACC championship game is a nice resume. And you know other teams at the top right now are going to lose. It happens every year.

You're misreading what he wrote.

Clemson is a top 4 team, and will remain a top 4 team when we face them in the ACCCG. If we beat them, we should take their spot in the playoff.

Wouldn't the ACC champion (even with one loss) qualify for the playoff?

But, I agree that beating ND is a huge booster for this program, no doubt.

If we lose ,(I don't think we will.) hypothetically if we lose it may drop us a bit but beating a top 4 team in what is essentially a road game in December on National television should put us in the Playoffs.

Remember people were saying UNC would have made it if they would have pulled it out against Clemson a couple years back. I think we would be in a similar position.
