Over the summer there was some buzz of his potential . . . any word on where he stands? with all the njoku talk, figured we'd look to the future a bit . . .

We have Njoku and Herndon whom are really good talents at the TE position. I think Irvin Jr. played some special teams this year, but you probably won't see much from him until next season if/when Njoku leaves where Herndon likely will be the number 1 TE on the depth chart.

This is one of the things I'm most concerned about related to next year's offense. With Njoku likely gone as you state, who is going to take on his role? It appears that coach Richt prefers a run first offense which, on its face, seems to be more conservative. Losing a guy like Njoku makes me concerned about the potential that our offense could be even more conservative than it was last year. I recognize that the defense will be a clear strength of the team next year but my preference as a fan is to have a more wide open offense. Seemed like Richt finally figured out how to use Njoku at the end of the season but will that go away if/when he declares for the NFL? There is no tight end that stands out to me from Richt's era at UGA....maybe I'm just not remembering properly. Hoping Mike Jr. or one of the other guys on the roster steps up to take Njoku's spot.

Where he stands? What does that even mean? He's been playing STs and played garbage time against Puke.

He's a true freshmans who is behind two veterans and doesn't play much. He's the same prospect he was, and no one has any magical information about him. He is a good prospect with great hands who wasn't quite advanced enough to take reps from Njoku or Herndon.

If Njoku leaves he'll play a lot more next year. This is all basic stuff that everyone who follows the team knows. Anything else about him is truly unknown until he gets on the field more.

because of njoku people forget about herndon. we are loaded as far as natural talent at TE.

He has been in the game on a couple of goal line situations.

I think he gets a lot of playing time next year.

We will have a lot of talent next season on the offensive side of the ball with or without Njoku. Let's get an offensive line that can protect the QB and open up lanes first

Surprisingly, I'm not as concerned about the OL heading into next season. With the way they've played in the later half of the season, it seems clear that progress has been made. With another offseason of coaching and S&C, I actually feel reasonably OK with the returning OL next year along with the recruits that have committed and that we're pursuing.

That's a terrible post. Next time try something like...

Irving Jr
Haven't seen much of this guy, is he a bust or just a JAG?

Absolutely no way to tell how Irving pans out as a TE.

Right now the sum total of what we know is he's good enough, as a freshman, to play some special teams and get a little play in garbage time.

That's it. That's all we know.

If you've been paying attention, it's obvious that there's not much you can conclude about Irving
