Michael Irvin shined at the University of Miami before starring for the Dallas Cowboys en route to an NFL Hall of Fame career.

Michael Irvin is one of the top 2016 wide receivers in Texas.

His son, Michael Irvin, Jr., is now getting looked at by the Hurricanes.

-Says “When I’m at Miami it feels like home,” “I like coach (Al) Golden a lot. I have a legacy there.”

-As a sophomore, Irvin, Jr. caught 80 balls for 1,178 yards and 19 touchdowns.

-The Plano (TX) Prestonwood Christian Academy standout is getting interest from Miami, Texas Tech, Michigan, Michigan and Kansas State.

-He’s been to Texas and Miami.

-He hopes to camp this summer at Miami and Texas Tech.

-Says “I like Texas Tech because their offensive system is similar to ours,” “I like the way Kansas State runs their offense. I like the way they play and I like their purple and white jerseys.”

-Who sticks out early on for the 2016 prospect?

-Says “Of course Miami,” “I also like Texas Tech and Kansas State.”
His father has given him some go-to advice.

-Says “Stay humble and always work hard,” “And stick to our plan.”

-The 6-foot-3, 210-pounder bench presses 230 pounds, squats 370 pounds, runs a 4.6-second 40-yard dash and holds a 3.0 GPA.

Pops pretty much already told him that. When it comes to college there is no decision to be made, he'll be at the U.
 
So he's 6'3", 210 lbs as a junior in high school? Impressive, but I wonder if he's going to outgrow the WR position? Does he play any other positions in HS?

He seems to be a natural Possession Receiver. i really wouldn't count out Texas Tech. that spread Offense may intrigue him big time. I would say we are #1 right now though. If he wants to be pro ready he will come to us. if he wants to be an college all star, he will go to TTech.
