The tears are delightful, and ***** everyone who isn't us, but putting Oklahma and Bama in ahead of ND after they ranked ND ahead of both of them and all ND did was win impressively, and all Okie and Bama did was play like **** is absurd. Committee today just righted a wrong - putting us ahead of ND - they should have fixed after we wrecked NC St (or after VT or after Pitt). ND's legit grievance with the commitee is that they should be ranked ahead of Okie and Bama. Still pretty funny though.

Would the SEC have "openly campaigned" for ND if they were in the SEC for all sports EXCEPT football? Would the Big 10 have "openly campaigned" for ND in similar circumstances?

Exactly. ND wants to have its cake and eat it too. They can't expect the ACC to just be a "partner," but then campaign for it over its own member schools.
