IPF update

Sounds like they extended the field length of the IPF,
It was said that it would be 80 yards long when it was announced and have an additional 40 yard field. Richt said in the livestream yesterday day that the field will be 90-95 yards long and still have that additional field. He provides a great explanation saying that at most ipfs from other schools they don’t get to use the whole field anyway as lineman take up both of the end zones so that extra piece of field will be designated for lineman and drill work while the long field will be mainly for the skill guys and team periods. That makes a lot of sense

Coach sounds like he designed everything from the ground up. Love it. Dude is all in. He clearly has a long-term vision. If I was coach, I would grab the AH guys next weekend and tell them to put their footprint in some wet cement or engrave their names in a beam and tell them the championship comeback starts with them.... #MindBlown type of shieet.

Like Seriously anyone not satisfied with this, a new iPF combined, Hard Rock getting the renovation, all the other renovations like the Schwartz center, locker room, training tables, athletic dining room, etc and the increased pay to coaches is just ******* trippin.

Like seriously nobody is ever satisfied here. Plus those dorms aren't even the end of it. They also are planning on demolishing the freshman dorms and building new ones, and then renovating Mahoney-Pearson

What, no 150 Mph wind resisting towers? No high point to escape flooding? They are one of the biggest selling points when you have Midwest Mom and Dad talking about being scared about the hurricanes and wanting their children to "stay close to home"

This is near home by the way:

Only a matter of time.

i'm happy that we are investing now, but we shouldn't half *** it. Have you seen our locker room compared to the top programs? its embarrassing.

I’m just glad we’ve finally got someone in place at the head of the university that realizes how important the football team is to the university. The fact he is willing to stay in the background and let the AD and the HC of the most important program at the college invest in the future is the beginning of us controlling CFB again.

The return of Miami football is headed upward due to Blake and Richt but another very important hire we had was when Julio Frank was hired. He,unlike the Troll, see the value the FB team has to the university.

Have you taken a walk through Coral Gables vs Tuscaloosa? We have plenty of built in competitive advantages, we can never spend like they do and we don’t need to, we just need to spend enough.

UCLA has competitive advantages in terms of location over bammer as well....should they only spend 'just enough' as you claim? have you seen their locker rooms?

players spend most of their time bonding there, so it should be especially nice.

Exactly, college football is an arms race you have to continue to push the envelope, saying you have just enough or whatever is how you end up being one of the last teams to not have an IPF in the first place

Arms race? That's what bankrupted the Soviets. Without spending caps, CFB will be down to about 15-17 programs with a realistic expectation of winning it all...Miami will be outspent and outside looking in if current trands continue. Look at how few teams have been in the CFP so far...

If we don’t upgrade the toilet paper holders, add nap tents, vibrating toilet seats and flat screens to the urinals we’re going to start losing recruits.
