Iowa St and Texas both go down

Funny how Gundy and Patterson have been at "inferior schools" for a combined 35 years. One would think that a wealthy SEC school would have snatched one of them up.

Tell me about all that talent that SMU has built up over the years to be able to knock off Gary Patterson's cutting edge defense.
Maybe you should do some research into Shane Buechele( A Texas transfer ) and how much he changed things and a WR James Proche who’s probably going to be a 2nd-3rd round pick.

If you can find where I said they have to be 12-0, I'll pay your rent next month. Stupid people make up things to argue against because otherwise they don't have a point.

So now they're ALL at inferior schools.
That’s your entire argument...their record.

I know about them, and about Xavier Jones, too. So SMU can land and develop top tier talent, but Gundy and Patterson, after decades, get the excuse of not being able to get good players.

It’s getting to the point where you’re trying to fling something to the wall and hoping it sticks
Well, yeah, kind of like how Manny is the worst coach ever at 4-4. You set that trap for yourself.
Big difference with looking like a fundamentally sound team and looking like crap...

FWIW I’ve read Patterson has backend deals with oil money in Texas, that kicks in once he retires from TCU. The kind of package another $1M or so from an SEC school doesn’t touch. May not be true.

Gundy is a lifer at Oklahoma State. Grew up there, played there, etc. He already makes $5M/yr.
