Iowa plans on opening athletic practices - including football - June 1

Basing this on the Miami study, below is a possible best case scenario:

Miami-Dade Cases: 100,000
Miami-Dade Deaths: 302 (there is also much debate about fatality number being under reported but will go with the official number)
Mortality Rate: 0.3%
US Population: 328,200,000
Percentage of Infection To Reach Herd Immunity: 70%
Total Estimated Deaths: 689,220

That's not a best case scenario at all. You should visit the Covid board to engage further.

65% lower than the original projection of 2M which was what prompted the lockdown.

Sure -- but it's still a pretty large number.

My point is, there are still too many variables that are uncertain to start making definitive conclusions.

Imo. Two things you don't let emotions get the best of. Running a business or the govt. Tough decisions have to be made. Emotion is for the consumers not the producers...

What I love is this is America and you have the right to go in public or stay in doors.

Some need the economy. Some just want to live (elderly).

These days that depends on what county/state you live in and what you intend to do when you go in public.

For some reason, rednecks and hayseeds think they are immune to COVID-19. I guess we'll see if they're correct. Seems the best approach would have been to follow Mr. Clean's original 3 phase guidelines, which it doesn't seem most states are following. Meanwhile, I'm on my Lysol IV drip, so I'm good.
Moonshine is 180 proof. Keep us informed as to how that Lysol ****tail is working for you.

it’s likely 1/3rd of this country has already been infected with this virus by now, it’s been here since January maybe December 2019...based on that likely probability that would mean the real death rate is less than 1%.

Testing doesn’t matter at this point. it’s been 5-6 months, most have already caught it by now, and it only has a 2-3 week period of being in your body so if you’re not already in the hospital dying from it then you’re good.

I have a feeling I got it in December...worst sickness I've had.
