Interim NIL approved

I see NIL as just a way to legalize bag money and allow all schools to do it. Sound right to you fellas? I mean, we been *****ing about the SEC throwing bags out for years and now the good people of Miami can throw out bags for many things such as appearances, autograph signings, etc.
I see it as nothing more than legalizing the bags. I am sure it is other things also, but...am I way off here?
I concur. Just easier to cheat.

Curious to know if there is anything stopping a company from offering an NIL to a recruit upon signing? Like sign with us and we will give you a guaranteed $100k deal or something? Man this is going to get ****ed lol
I’ve been trying to figure that out too. I wonder if they have to get to campus before they can sign these deals.

This is going to get out of hand real quick. Potentially in a very good way for us but we all know that some people are going to pray on these kids.

Yeah yeah yeah bag money this and bag money that. But at the end of the day, the legality/regulation of that market limits the overall size of the market.

When you open the floodgates then you have the general public thinking about ways to cash in on this opportunity. No barriers to entry/unregulated marketplace + 18, 19, 20 year old kids typically from lower income families = some people are going to get absolutely f*cked over.

My thought here is this is what the NCAA wants. They want things to go wrong so they can come in and say "we told you so" then come back in with regulations. Again, I think this could be VERY VERY VERY good for us but I think eventually things go south here.

I wonder when they will institute salary caps on these young men. Because I agree this is going to get out of control very fast.

Now its a tax write off for these guys instead of trying to hide it
Exactly, now a lot of very rich people will get in on this because it’s not shady any more and they get a tax benefit instead of being worried they will get in trouble.

The crazy thing is this will affect college basketball 10x more than football. Its not like everyone will all of a sudden start getting money.

Jealousy. You have 85 scholarhip players and another 15-20 walkons and only a handful of the team's best players(stars)are really going to be getting deals and making money.Yeah that's not going to be a problem with the leftovers.

Disaster.

Love to see what these contracts look like. Wonder if they can include conditions, like being the starter for X amount of games, or include performance based bonuses...If so, that should be fun for a head coach to deal with.

"You promised me a starting position if I signed with you...now you're costing me thousands! I'm going to sue your ***."

"Your gameplay better include at least 10 throws a game to me, otherwise I'm hitting the ******* portal."

"Hey bro, this game isn't important. Fake an injury so I can get 100 yards today and hit my performance bonus; I'll hook you up."

There was already jealously. Elite players were already paid under the table more than other teammates. This was already a problem happening before this. Why are y’all acting like this is a novel issue? There’s a hierarchy in most facets of life. Nobody was coming to a Canes game for Jon Ford prior to yesterday, so why should his feelings be hurt that D’Eriq King is getting more attention than him and is paid accordingly?
