Caleb Williams vs Miller Moss at USC. Seems it's closer than most thought. Some notes from USC private 247 site:

"We heard from a source at practice this week the reps at quarterback continue to be split 50/50 between Caleb Williams and Miller Moss and that Williams has been working with the starting offensive line while access to skill position players is being equitably distributed. The source said the separation between the two was quite narrow. That report definitely aligns with what we’d been told throughout fall camp and also with what Lincoln Riley said publicly after this past Tuesday’s practice. Bottom line is that all expectations are that Williams is under center for USC’s opening drive Sept. 3, but as we’ve been saying all along, Riley is sitting on the luxury of two very strong options at the game’s most important position and the gap between the two is not what’s been presumed by outsiders. "

They will score points.

It is their defense that is going to give up loads of yards and points.

Another perspective on their QB situation is that Williams really doesn't throw the ball very well. I was underwhelmed by what I saw from Williams last year but I am partial to QB’s who are really accurate passers.

Its not like the other qb was a scrub coming out.. I dont even follow their recruiting but I remember that name

I’ll say it Caleb Williams is the most overrated player in CFB. I’ve seen crazy things people listing dude as a top 5 CFB player. He hasn’t done **** yet
Been saying this in every thread that had a list of the best players on it. I really don’t get it.

This is what makes NIL such a wildcard. He's signed over a million in NIL deals. There's a lot of money invested in the guy. Have to wonder if that will make a difference.

I don't know about not doing ****, but he's overrated. If you go back and look at this numbers, they were ok. He put up big numbers against TT, but their defense was bad. OU went 1-2 to end the regular season and he looked bad in two of those. He did have a nice bowl game.

Moss would be worth a bag. Gonna suck watching him go to an SEC school and light it up. If Chip Kelly were smart, he'd be making back channel overtures at this very moment. (although I like the Martin kid they got out in Westwood, too.)

I presume it is based on potential. If he improves from freshman season to sophomore as expected, he could certainly be a top 10-15 player in the country. That said, I too think he's a little overrated. He made some splash plays but when the big play wasn't there, he appeared to struggle a little.

Was a true freshman tho.. I think he balled out..
