For reference, FSU scores 25.3 and allows 31.4 against P5. Their best offensive performance was week one against ND.

No, Oklahoma can gain 1 yard rushing when needed most, we absolutely can not.

Ga Tech was one of the worst 3rd down teams in the country (ranked 114 at 32.3%). But against Manny's defense, they converted 8 of 20 third downs and 1 or 2 fourth downs. The reason our time of possession was so low is we just couldn't get off the field. The defense is not only not suddenly good or even average, as you say, they also didn't play decent when you consider how BAD Georgia Tech offense is.

The only thing saving Manny's defense from being humiliated is our weak schedule.

Thank you, I highly value you as a poster. I hope people disagree with me a lot because I’m wrong a lot.

I don’t think the defense IS suddenly average, I do think the defense played an average game. That’s it, that’s the commentary, there are stats that can be used to make or hurt that case. I’ll take 329 yards - or - holding opponents to their second worst yardage total of the year, every game of the week.

We will win pretty much every game we play with a 4.6-7.0 ypp differential, so long as we don’t turn the ball over 3-5 times and miss FGs and fumble the ball directly into a defender moving unopposed in the opposite direction. I’m not saying anything more than that.

Oh and the DC needs to be fired, btw.

I just don't put much stock in stats for any of the three remaining teams' performance to this point of the year.

There is almost nothing positive to be gained from the stats. But there should be enough there to scare the team into playing their hardest.
 
Yeah I’m sure the entire country is terrified of us after beating a 3-5 team at home by 3 points.

Any team with a great offense is a problem, I don't think we're quite at that level, but we're close.

Especially in the context of the ACC, which I believe was his point, any ACC team would be concerned about playing Miami, we beat 2 out of 3 ranked ACC teams already
