The amount of disrespect for our team from our own fans is ironic. Who needs a canestears thread when We have a canestears board full of negative threads? Most of you all beg for positive pr and ***** and moan when they say bad things about us. Someone said something good and you ridicule them.

Its the fear that any positive news whatsoever could lead to a narrative that maybe Manny deserves another year so most posters will just seriously crap on anything positive to prevent that. I know secretly many of them hope we lose to FSU. Im telling you IF that happens (which it won't) they will come out of hiding with the "SEE! Told you we would lose to FSU! I told you! I would be salivating at the mouth to go against this Diaz led defense. We are very much a Oklahoma type of team right now.

Offense is lighting the world on fire no doubt, but it has to be noted that this team cannot convert on short yardage. This gentleman is reaching with a lot of this. Bad teams find ways to put themselves in jeopardy. We do it with the best of them. Hope this is the week we put it all together but I don’t have any faith in that due to this staph

Y’all don’t want to see it, but most National people have observed that we punished GT on Saturday, just had some absurdly dumb luck with the TOs. Bud Elliott, noted Miami hater, made it a point on the Cover 3 podcast today to highlight how badly UM dominated them on both sides of the ball.

The defense is not suddenly good, or even average, but they did play a decent enough game to win by 10-14 points. It just didn’t happen.

Best defensive performance of the season. Perhaps that's actually something to build on and continue rather than a complete outlier?

Hopefully his ego doesnt block him this offseason and he sees what Mich St and FSU did by not having egos and saying we need a total overhaul.. Of course it would be good to see him bounce but admin aint firing him if we win out..

Solid points but I believe this FSU game is first to 30. FSU can absolutely do that to us because of Travis and our unathletic linebackers. I also believe #11 for them has a chance to dominate this game like we’ve seen from Rosseau and Phillips the last two years off the edge

I said this in another thread but dammit..It just seems like Manny might have FSUs number. Last two times we have faced them they have scored 10 points both times. I dont know what it is. Now that said, our defense is way worse this year. So maybe we give up 21-28. But we still can put up 40 on them. I think people will be brought back down to earth at how bad FSU is. Maybe not as bad as last year..but they are still bad. We are bad too. But they are way worse. Im absolutely not a ****y UM fan because that is silly at 5-4. But I call it like I see it too. We have the 3 easiest games left on the schedule coming up. And thats just stating facts. Oh and we have TVD and they dont. LOL.

TVD has gone all-world the past three weeks for Miami; almost 1,200 yards, 10 touchdowns and one pick (that wasn't his fault; players fell down.)

Without a freshman quarterback balling out, Canes are 2-7 right now and Diaz is in the unemployment line.

The only thing to fear about this team is the fact that TVD is saving Manny's *** and this clowndick head coach will be back for year four.

I'm normally a huge fan of your takes, Inday. But in this case, you're right, I don't see it.

Ga Tech was one of the worst 3rd down teams in the country (ranked 114 at 32.3%). But against Manny's defense, they converted 8 of 20 third downs and 1 or 2 fourth downs. The reason our time of possession was so low is we just couldn't get off the field. The defense is not only not suddenly good or even average, as you say, they also didn't play decent when you consider how BAD Georgia Tech offense is.

The only thing saving Manny's defense from being humiliated is our weak schedule.

Exactly, any team that can routinely execute on offense moves the ball at will against this team. We are routinely gashed in the run game and WRs seem to be always wide open. MD is a clueless boob and the sooner he's gone the better.

I would argue the last 3-4 teams we played have offenses WAY better than the next 3. FSU, VT, Duke cannot score at the rate that any of the last 4 teams we played can. FSU scored 14 points against NC State. We scored in the 30s. Just using that apples to apples example. Lets not even talk about VTs pathetic offense. Dukes offense is formidable but they run out of bullets too as they did against Pitt who beat them by 3 TDs after hanging with them shot for shot and being up at one point.

My general point is, as bad as our defense is, dont be surprised if they look better in these next 3 games against offenses they are not as good as we have seen.

8 of 20 is 40%, 7/20 is 35%. GT averages 35.5%. So one more stop would have put them around their average. A 40% conversion is around 64-65. Our schedule is ranked 4th hardest, playing 4 current CFP top 25 ranked teams and App state which is on the fringe.

The next 2 are not gimmes. Historically, with a few exceptions, the semenholes play us tough - especially in their house. Even if their dog****, VT usually gives us fits. Dook is Dook. We SHOULD be able to score plenty, but with our D, they will as well.
