Interesting objective slant on team/bowl

Nostrum obviously works for the Mob and said that stuff to get some of those Canes fans money flowing

At the end, he has a couple paragraphs that are most interesting. A lot of what I’ve been saying the last 2 years. Not only all that, but I’m here to tell you that Miami is better than its 7-5 record. Miami was an eight- or nine-win team that dropped multiple games the boxscore says it should have won. In fact, the Hurricanes finished with a 60% or higher postgame win expectancy in three of its five losses. That’s absurd.

Blame coaching if you want, but the numbers don’t lie: Miami objectively played well enough to win all three games. The Hurricanes’ second-order win total of 8.8 tells us that S&P+ believes this team is closer to 9-3 quality than 7-5. The Canes match up well enough in this game that a normalization of luck alone could lead to a double-digit win against a Wisconsin team that looks a lot different than we thought it’d look in August.

Truest statement re: sports ever.

You can hypothesize your way to a 13-0 record as well as a 0-13 one. I HATE the arguments of " if only". Talk to a fan of the teams you beat and they will tell you that they woulda won if only the starting LT wasn't out and if their safety wasn't nicked up, etc.....

We are a 7-6 team that got housed by a 8-5 team.
 
People still bringing up 10-0? Lol

7-9 since that point with no offensive changes coming and 2 green guys taking over the defensive unit. Please tell me more about how relevant that 10-0 is right now at this moment in time.
