No, but he changed staff, he brought in I believe a 5 star game changer at quarterback in Taj Boyd. There’s much Manny can SHOW in year one or two that will give us an idea. Nothing is absolute. All we can do is project, which is why I said let’s see what Manny do. He could win the rest, bring in a great recruiting class and prove us wrong all in year one. Or he could lose them all, recruiting class falls a part, and keep staff in tact. It’s up to him how this goes!

That would be more believable if bandy didnt play basically the same technique, the only difference was bandy released his man to the middle of the field. At the end of the day, special teams overall has been trash, whoever is coaching it is at fault. For it to be saiid coach diaz to said they went over that formation "less than an hour before that play" sounds asanine and shows the inexperience of this coaching staff, that's what in game adjustments and timeouts are for, patke and diaz should've reiterated that before the snap, but the proof is in the technique bandy played, although he actually did at least put hands on his man, ivey played short zone coverage. Again, its a communicating issue and if coach diaz is going to already start blaming players in the media instead of protecting the guys, that's exactly how you lose a team real quick!

It really is simple. It's the job of the coaches to get the right players in, and then get the best out of them. It's the AD's job to find the right coach to do this. It's the BOT's job to make sure the AD is competent enough to make a good hire.

When you let grown ups blame the kids, it's a bad look. If they did THEIR jobs correctly, the players would fall in line. No one wants to succeed more than the players, and when they feel they are not given the tools to do so, they quit. They quit and changes are forced. The more a coach blames the players, the faster his ship sinks. Players don't want to play for a coach that doesn't accept responsibility for their own actions. MOST players can man up when they make a mistake. Taking a bullet for an inept coach... not so much.

at miami, the BOT makes the hires and just use the AD as a fundraiser for events.

So, instead of an Athletic Director, we have a Puppet Athletic Director. Makes sense. Other schools have an AD, while we have a PAD. It's making sense now.

not if most of the roster is the same. its two fold. the barry jackson stuff about some players not listening is interesting. seems like there is a divide, but as a coach, you cant just ship them away. you gotta find a way to make it work esp if youre not recruiting at an elite level.

been that way for a while now. its the miami way (city as a whole). a room full of execs think theyre the smartest person in the room and dont want anyone who can challenge that way of thinking. we see it with our politicians, people, business owners. the whole city is a cesspool.

And that was done because that’s where the help was. If he pushes his man to the inside that ball is likely kicked for fear of the help in the middle of the field. It seems like a small thing, but I can almost guarantee you that was the punters key. If he lets his man go streaking down the sideline throw the ball because the return man can’t cover that much ground in enough time, or at least you like your chances he can’t. When coaches say 10 guys do it right and one guy doesn’t now everybody looks stupid, put this play on loop! Again if he just pushes his man inside just like bandy did we probably aren’t having this discussion. It LOOKS like no big deal but to GT it looked like 7

If you think by the fans not acting like spoiled children calling for heads by way of flying a banner is some sort of Canes treason you are a bigger moron than I thought when I sent the first message. Fact is Chief, You can fly 1,000 banners and the only change you will affect is peoples opinions on how truly delusional a small sect of Canes fans really are. We are the only people who thought we would jump right back to dominance first year with no issues. Ironically, say Diaz, James & the SJW Strawley did get fired, your direct actions may prevent us landing an actual professional coach, not mine. So please tuck your ***** and go fuuck yourself.
 
Whose job is it to get kids to buy in and stay focused? Isn’t that the primary job of the coach? Sorry. There is no spin. Everything in CFB falls on the coach. It’s the nature of the beast right, wrong, or indifferent

Exactly. On this particular play though i believe that Ivey's technique was to press his gunner out of bounds, thereby making him ineligible to catch a pass. Only then should he release him. And if the receiver gets off the jam you cover him throughout the duration of the kick coverage.

If you review the play you'll see the field side corner did exactly this. Ivey just got lazy on the boundary gunner.
