Interesting and ominous observation

An observation from my end: I believe it was in the third quarter, we just screwed up a play and King looked to the sideline ready for the call. He shook his head, as if he is going "I dont want that, do something else".

I dont know what happened but there is a massive disconnect within the team and it shows.

King was visibly frustrated tonight. He wore his frustration on his sleeve which is something I’ve never seen him do in close to 15 games here.

I believe he either: knows his knee isn’t right and is thinking about that knee instead of playing or has bad relationship with lashlee... or both
Maybe he’s just not a very good QB?
For ***** sake, he’s a 6 year senior and still can run a read option to save his life.
King is a G5 QB, that’s what he is.

Pretty sure that's not the message that's being sent re: it being ok to lose to good teams. Also not the first time this Joe Williams character has put his foot in his mouth. The parent of a kid who's never played a down should probably stay off of podcasts.
Same here. But in this day and age people are quicker to lie on others to promote their own agendas than ever.

I actually don't think team chemistry is a problem. Teams that don't click, they give up and it shows on the field. I haven't seen them appear to be quitting at all in either game. We've seen that some through the years.
Yea they just need a spark. The problem is I don’t think coaching staff has the goods to do that. One long TD would probably be the catalyst for getting the offense operating more smoothly.

I'm normally not one for analyzing body language and could honestly give two craps if guys are on the sideline waving towels but I can't help but ignore that about 95% of the team legitimately looked miserable out there tonight. Whether it was apathy/going through the motions by many, Rambo yelling at Donaldson for not getting out on a block or King giving the most canned interview of all time during post-game, it's clear that this group isn't nearly as cohesive as the group we saw last year and there is a considerable disconnect across the board.
The problem is Rambo is the only one holding a teammate responsible for blowing their assignment. Holding each other accountable is THE ONLY way to develop a winning program especially when your coaches won't either.

I thought so too, from early on even when app state gave us 9 easy ones, everybody looked miserable. They’ve quit on Manny. The same old seniors taking up space has neutered everybody’s ambition.

We want players to hold each other accountable, so what’s the problem with Rambo getting into Donaldson, etc?

When you continue to play guys sho don’t deserve to be playing it’s obvious. When you get embarrassed on national tv bc you didn’t have a game plan it bothers the kids. When your coach goes on tv and says that he pretty much expected to lose, guys see that. And when you do the same against a clearly inferior team and nothing changes it continues to boil. The kids can only do so much. The coaches are holding them back. There is nothing more frustrating than that.
Accurate and excellent post.

players no longer buying into the staff

we've seen it every time the hc was a dead man walking

seen it with cokershannongoldenrichtmanny
The locker room is in the process of being lost. Will be curious if King ever has the courage to ignore a play call from the sideline and calling his own number.

Something is wrong with Lashlee. Take yourself back to last year’s FSU game. No way a man his age can cognitively regress that much naturally in a period of a year. He’s calling plays like he’s getting blasted with a radio frequency weapon all game.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥♨️♨️♨️♨️ take, must explore further.

Somebody call DHS. Our Canes are under attack!

What does not having played a down of ball have to do with this? And also, your HC ain’t played a down either lmao. A parent definitely knows more than you about what the coaches are saying.

I told yall earlier this year that at the end of the last year one of the parents of the younger guys had to talk down several of the youngsters. They were sooooo frustrated about playing time they were ready to bounce. It took several heart to hearts with them to calm them down, and I got this from the actual parent who did the talking, so take it for what it's worth.

IIRC, he was never a read zone kind of kid. Even when he was at Houston, they ran an RPO heavy offense and did not read zone a whole lot. I think it's something he's not comfortable with especially with his knee. JMO

Team is absolutely lifeless, it's been the hallmark of Manny's teams.

Rambo getting at Donaldson was a good thing.

This team has sorely lacked accountability from its players.

And that includes sometimes getting in your teammates grill to execute their assignment.

Rambo came from OU he knows the way they practice and the expectation.

That’s exactly what I saw in his interview on the sideline right after the App St game. He had a look about him that he knew he was failing.
I noticed that too. Of all the "body language" talk, (which I usually think is silly) Manny's seemed to me to be the most outwardly defeatist. To me he looked dejected and like he knew he wasn't getting it done.
