Canes D has now held UF and Stanford below 150 total yards of offense.

Over the last 25 seasons (2000-2024) Miami held just FOUR P4 opponents under 150 total

2001 - Rutgers
2005 - Duke
2006 - VT
2009 - UVA

It’s the first time Miami has held two P4 opponents below 150 yards in at least 30 years.

I get this to a degree, but Jesus H Christ are we just incapable of giving anyone credit around here?

Yes, Florida couldn't get out of its own way. And yes, Stanford is just awful.

That being said, it's almost Halloween, you know who else held UiF and Stanford under 150 yards of offense? NO ONE.

You know who held UiF under 200 yards? How bout 250? Do I hear 300? Once again, NO ONE.

Their worst game of the year, besides ours, was 319 yards against Texas A&M.

So again, I get it. We're not going to throw a parade for this ****. But holding anyone, literally anyone, to 140 yards of offense in the year of our lord 2025 is ******* insane. ESPECIALLY a defense that was run through more than Bonnie Blue last season.

Great job to Mario finding Heatherman, improving the talent on that side, and for Heatherman and his staff having these kids playing hard, fast, and for the most part, smart. What a difference a year makes.

We’ve played plenty of **** teams over the last 30 years though. It’s still impressive to actually dominate.

Stanford has averaged 305 total yards in their other 5 P4 games. While UF has averaged 400 in their other 4 P4 games.
 
If anyone has a link to game logs before Internet Explorer existed lmk, would love to know the actual year Miami last held two P4 opponents under 150.

Our fanbase is so out of touch with reality. The 2001 team only held 1 opponent under 150 total yards according to Sports Reference. The greatest team of all time. Idk maybe some perspective will help but I guess we all think this is NCAA 25 and we should win 77-0 every game. And that’s not to excuse some of our troubles, but **** can we all live in real life?

Yea thats wild trying to diminish that stat because those teams suck. Like what else can the defense do there lol.

Hold them to zero points? Yea but UF and Stanford suck. Lol cmon

If Lagway and Gulbranson hung 35 on us, these ******** would have been calling for firings on that side of the ball. Swearing to the Lord that Lance Guidry was back or that Hetherman was the same kind of drunk.

We got left out of the playoffs last year specifically because our defense was so ******* bad the committee knew we had no chance

A year later we get this and people wanna say “don’t get carried away?”

funny thing is, Florida’s could not get out of their own way because their Oline got obliterated. They were given the worst grades in the history of PFF, by a long shot. And the clown that made that post better not reply with the Florida Oline is trash. They were preseason top 5.
