A lot of speculation has been buzzing around and the forefront heading into Thursday evening is that Denzel, Phillip and Ereck will be selected in the first round and a good chance says that DP will be a packer. Alonzo Highsmith Sr. Has informed many insiders that he wants to address a corner but "they won't dismiss Perryman" should he be there.


This basically tells me that the first round drought that began in 2008 is going to be dissolved under Golden.

Put that in ya pipe and smoke it cause he'll ABSOLUTELY use that on the recruiting trail.

Has Shannon ever developed a first round pick?.... Unfortunately he hasn't but a large proportion of his players have made huge impacts in the league thus far including Vernon, jimmy graham, Franklin, Allen Bailey, Calais Campbell, Sam shields, and a host of others. Golden has no doubt upgraded the talent level especially on offense and at the QB position. I'll give credit when it's due. Yeah he absolutely shi**ed the bed with the talent he had. However we can't say anymore that he doesn't develop talent as we will more than likely have 8-9 players selected with 5 being in the first 2 rounds and 1-2 maybe 3 in the 1st. Now.... Does he know how to properly use the talent? Well we all know the answer to that one....

Gorlden sucks. This means nothing in the grand scheme. Only an idiot parent or recruit would be buying anything this carpet bagger has to sell.

Let's just say that no one that signed under Shannon as HC has gone in the First round... Walford is his last hope and I wouldn't bet on it.

Only Kenny Phillips was drafted as the last pick of the first round in Randy's first year as a HC.

Our first round streak ended after Shannon's first year. If we break the drought this year then it will mostly likely be with someone from Golden first recruiting class (Dorsett, Perryman) or second (Flowers, Duke).

Kenny Phillips man... And as a DC countless others from 01-07...

If we are fortunate enough to have 2 or 3 guys go first round and others drafted as well, I'm certain Golden and his staff will mention that to recruits. I'm just as certain opposing coaches will mention that Maimi hasn't won anything in over a decade and Golden is .500 at Miami and lifetime.

Yeap, Art recruiting and developed ANOTHER NFL olineman. I give you that PD improved a bunch while here. Not sure is Al had anything to do with it. Both are offensive players and extremely self-motivated type. DP progress was up and down but impressive anyway. Al focus is defense, so you have to give him some credit for this other extremely self-motivated player. If would sing Al praise for it more if DP wasn't the ONLY player on Al's defense who still knew how to tackle after 4 years of his oversight.

But all that said, 3 1st round picks will get Al some attention from recruits. I am not someone who wants Al to fail, just someone who has lost all hope he is capable of anything but failure. Remember he also had Duke and probably 1st pick in draft 2 years from now at QB last year and lost 7. Just imagine the classes he would have had if he knew how to actually coach winning football.
