Our bye setup this year does us no favors but the bigger problem here is that 4 years in the depth just isnt where it needs to be at certain positions.

Welcome to the new era of CFB. Find me more than maybe 3-4 teams that have solid depth at every major position.

Josh Pate has been talking a lot about this throughout the year. Hoarding talent is borderline impossible now with NIL. Your best players who don’t start aren’t going to stick around when they can get paid to go be a starter somewhere else.

Think the point is that it was bad to have lost to teams like this, repeatedly, over the last 20 years, and if Mario has really turned the program around that he should cease losing to them going forward. Injuries or not.
