The UCF game actually has little meaning for us.

We're in the tournament, it's about our ACC record now to see if we host. We need 4 ACC wins, or 3 and a deep run in the ACCT. Doesnt really matter if we win/lose to UCF. 4 ACC wins gives us a top-16 RPI. That and a 18-12 record likely would be enough.

I agree with @scane plan, and I think that's what Gino is planning too. Keysor is definitely better than Cecconi at this point, but I also think they trust Keysor more to come out of the bullpen

We play Monday apparently because of TV, the game's going to be on ESPNU.

Then all final ACC series are TR-Sat, because the ACCT starts the following Tuesday
 
From Gino on WQAM:
-Maury will start on Wednesday in essentially a bullpen game.
-Freddy is expected back this weekend. He might play as soon as Wednesday.
-McMahon (barring a surprise) will start on Monday.
-McKendry and McMahon both feel good.

Wed-Maury and/or Gates

Fri- Van Belle
Sat- Slade
Mon- McMahon

Thur-Van Belle
Fri-McKendry
Sat-Slade

ACCT Game 1- McMahon
ACCT Game 2- Van Belle
Semis*- McKendry
Final*-Slade

That said, am the only one who trusts Keysor more than Slade in an important game?

Win our last two ACC series and 1 or 2 games in the ACCT, and we should definitely host. None of the other teams on the bubble for hosting are separating from the pack and, in fact, are not playing as well as us.

But a lot can happen in three weeks; so, let's take care of business.

Assuming Freddy returns tomorrow - where would you place him in the order?

That's probably part of it, but the biggest reason they switched it around is that teams were tired of playing that third meaningless game. It rarely had any impact on who got to the finals.

Annoucers said last night it was just a rest day for him, but we'll see.

He's been playing all year with a injured hand and it looked like he aggravated it sliding into home on Friday, so I'm wondering if that's it
