Yeah, there is no question that we need to extricate the silent commitment from our recruiting strategy. We are not shutting down recruitment efforts on other players at your position if you are not willing to publicly commit and shutdown your recruitment. Period.

Agree about accepting commitments so far in advance. The mind of a high school sophomore is going to change 15 times before they are a senior. That alone is reason enough, but, the pattern should be extremely familiar at this point. We have 5 decommitments from 2020, Clemson has had two in the last 4 years.

lol i told my buddy -- fire richt, hire a new coach and watch the cycle repeat. when will people realize, this program is DUKE in football. it wont be an easy fix no matter who the coach is. we need to go to clemson route and pay diaz 2 mill to stay (similar to what they did w their DC) and force richt to hire an OC and pay him 2 mill as well (make it the best **** hire). thats how you keep elite coordinators around and keep them from bouncing long enough to groom the next guy

Got to stop taking silent commitments. Just tell the guy we'll accept your commitment when you make it public, if you feel the need to be silent go think it over some more.

That way we don't tie up spots. Either that or just recruit as if you don't have "silents," which we clearly weren't doing.

I fully expect Miami to strikeout in all his remaining targets at DT and struggle to fill the IL slots. The season was killed by the pathetic, ininspired display of the UV game and Richt decision along with the UF season. We have no momentum we are the joke in the state and for some reason local recruits use that ascthe excuse to go out.
