Indoor practice field

That's a great start.

Now get us out of that abomination known as Dolphin Stadium and somewhere IN ACTUAL DADE COUNTY and we'll be in a great situation going forward.

We've suffered long enough no? It would really be nice to see some TLC provided to the program by the people who are SUPPOSE to be acting as custodians for it.

Found it. Tim O'Brien was a former All American for UM in Swimming in the mid 80's. From his tweet, doesn't really sound like anything is imminent, but it's nice to see that the renewed commitment is being expressed to alums.

Was told UM is ponying up MORE $ to invest in indoor facilities and infrastructure to get football back on top of college football!

This is like Charlie Brown getting the ball pulled out EVERY SINGLE TIME as he's trying to kick it.

The stadium situation is not ideal but its an NFL stadium suitable for national championships and Super Bowls and when full with the new improvements will be just fine.

CMR wins and the attendance improves and Miami sells the idea of being the only (besides Pitt) college team playing in a pro stadium.

Winning is all that matters.

Correct. Make that 4 schools since San Diego State plays where the Chargers play/used to play.

Point is its a unique recruiting tool if used properly.

You honestly think that will increase attendance? Miami built the BUC and you know what's filling this year? A Top 20 basketball team. There are still a bunch of no-shows. The stadium will be first rate once completed. Start winning games and we'll have 45K in the stands, which is what we typically had when we were a dominant program.

Yes, I'd like to see a stadium near the camp but it's not the immediate priority. Let's get the indoor practice facility so we don't have to delay or cancel practice due to inclement weather.

A new stadium is simply not going to happen financially, but we should have a very good chance of increasing attendance this year by 20,000 a game. We have a good home schedule, the canopy will be up, and we have CMR.

The only part of this post that is accurate is the last sentence...but it's the line I use every time some idiot comes on this board ranting and raving about needing "recruiters" on the staff. You need COACHES on the staff...Winning recruits.

Back to the topic at hand...winning or no winning we need to get the **** out of Dolphin Stadium as quickly as possible. It's an abomination, simply put. If we ever want this program to be on par with other programs around the country we at the very least need something closer to campus.

Notice I'm not saying IN CORAL GABLES...I'm not saying SOME STATE OF THE ART MULTI BILLION DOLLAR COMPLEX...notice I'm not saying anything UNREALISTIC.

The answer is the same as it has been for the last 20 years but the morons holding positions of power that DON'T GIVE A RAT'S *** ABOUT THE PROGRAM continue to ignore.......TROPICAL PARK. You could build a small 30-40k stadium there and leverage all of the local high school teams who would also love to use the stadium on a friday night. You could also build a ramp directly off the palmetto right into the park that work work logistically from to help alleviate traffic.

Dolphin stadium is the biggest piece of garbage in the history of pieces of garbage. Period.

Not the Big Sombrero. That was demolished years ago.

5. Temple plays at Lincoln Financial.

UM's been working on the fundraising for a while. Looking for a name donor to get going.
