Indoor Practice Facility

For those clamoring about when will Miami build our IPF keep in cost in Metro Miami and building code requirements are VERY DIFFERENT than in alot of places in the south.

FSU started at $12.7m and ended north of $15 million

An lets not forget our SEC neighbors next door in Georgia who come into our house in SFL when ever they please (unfortunately), UGA is budgeting $30 Million dollars for their new IPF.

So south Florida being south Florida if your an estimator worth your salt then you can expect a IPF in Coral Gables to start at $20m and end up at $25 millions (if UM is lucky). Keep in mind space is limited on campus so the most likely place would be adjacent to the Hecht an would also include an slight expansion Hecht to connect the buildings.

Go Canes

Stop posting pics of FSU and UF

You dumb *** I am posting as a reference to what other direct competitors have as facitilities so people who are uniformed can become informed as how much an IPF would cost an what level of investment would be required to remain competitive in the facilities arms race in college sports.

Just for good measure he is UCF's IPF which by the way was the first in Florida and the southeast (more than 10 years ago).

They were at over $100 million in athletics donations last October, so they haven't done much in the last 10 months.

That money goes to fund athletic scholarships. Keep in mind every scholarship athlete regardless of sport cost at minimum $250,000 over 4 years and if they redshirt add an additional $60k to that number. An as for football that cost goes up significantly now with the cost of living stipend, an unlimited training table. Then through in the roughly $10 million UM will most likely have to pay Al "big pimp'n" Golden as a severance.

Where they spend the money has nothing to do with the fact that the fundraising effort passed $100 million over 10 months ago, and it is now at only $110 million. That's about $10 million in about 1 year. That's not very good fundraising.

$250K. You realize Norman Brahman isn't paying retail for his new Merc, right? Now imagine if Norman controlled the whole process of buildding, shipping and marketing the car in addition to selling...Know where I'm going with this? I think you do. Miami can book $75K as the full cost of attendance each year, but we all know it isn't costing them that much to provide the instruction, meals, etc. Don't quote sticker on a better than wholesale deal, Heck, even Golden knows that...

I now know why they hired frenk as prez he can get his Harvard rich buddies to throw some serious dough when we need it hope they come through
