indoor facility remains goal for Miami.

Because schools we are recruiting against have them. If that's not reason enough to convince you, you're a moron. And, if someone gives me the, "we didn't need it in 1987" crap, I'm jumping through the computer to punch you in the throat.

So you're for Miami spending say, 12mil, on something that will be used about 10 times a year, because "school's we are recruiting against have them", and I'm the moron...excellent deduction.

The biggest thing an indoor facility provides is the ability to practice every afternoon, rain or shine. This allows UM to get away from the ridiculous early morning practice sessions that can't allow the players to be at their best. It really becomes a grind after game five or six.

I can't see the justification of an indoor facility. IMO, it's just a new toy every school thinks they need to "keep up".

Nothing matters until they exterminate that rat occupying the HC's office. Keep that piece of **** around, and all you'll be doing is losing in a cushier environment.

If all the other schools were jumping off a bridge, would Miami?

Yep. I can see it now - come August, the team will miss 3-4 practices b/c of bad thunderstorms and everyone will use the lack of practice time as an excuse.

How much does this thing cost?

Pretty much, yes. We're going to be at a disadvantage, even with a real coach, when we go against UGA or Auburn or FSU, etc. Go look at their facilities. If you think high school kids don't care about that, you're kidding yourself.

No, and that's the problem

Folden will whine about having to wait an hour for a storm to pass. Then, he'll cancel the final week of practice because he thinks we got enough work in already. And all the simps will yack about a practice bubble even though he cancelled a week of practice for no reason.

Practicing in the heat and rain breeds toughness, why give that up?

Because much like you can't really hit a wide receiver or a QB anymore for fear of a concussion or even f-n whiplash these days, UM has the liability fear of God in them (as they should I guess) of letting the players practice when there is even a remote chance of lightning. It is what it is...even if they are being overcautious...we lose practice time that this coaching staff needs to learn how to coach...the players are probably fine. :welcoming:

Seriously though, Big Ten schools and the like are not dealing with cold weather during fall camp...heat is something the south in general faces...an indoor facility would be useful at UM so as not to miss practices.

So UM didn't give a **** about kids getting hit by lightening when 2* Ed Reed was there? Point is, the liability and concern was probably always present.

We didn't need one when 2* Ed Reed committed.

Yeah, we also didn't have the panic of liability there is today regarding concussions or lightning strikes during practice. Sucks, but that is fact.
