Indiana secret?

Our coach is from the same tree
Well He needs to get better @ cheating  Miami is due for 4-5 more titles....& Dont tell me Saban aint cheat during that dynasty run for Bama
Mario was the recruiting coordinator at Bama. I’m sure he’s got plenty of stories that he’ll take to his grave from his time there

Well, yeah, I get what you’re saying, except that it was exactly NOTHING like the ‘87 Fiesta.

🤣 🤣 🤣
Well, they both did come down to a final pass.

And one less mistake in both, changes the game.

And both had a missed FG, that had we made, we could have won/tied the game at the end, instead or throwing a pick, trying to get a TD.

Someone on this board said recently part of Cigs success is that he understands the vast majority coaches are creatures of habit and will always regress to what they’re comfortable with in certain situations, and schemes against it. If you don’t break your tendencies, he’ll eat you alive.

Don’t know if that’s actually true, but it seemed to make some sense and might explain how that team seemed to have ESP with what the other team was running.

You can tell by his in game play calling they study alot of film. Our coaches had the upper hand and then they go to the back shoulder fades, then let the clock run and catch us with the qb draw. Those type of calls in the heat of the moment are the peak of coaching

I do think it is kind of odd how instant his success was, it just goes against literally everything to ever happen in cfb so it’s hard not to question it. But if we just didn’t make a couple mistakes we win

Do we win, even without Lucas for a half, if Brock Schott isn't providing our secrets to Cignetti and staff leading up to the game?
**** yes!! After half time we played press Mendoza could not complete a pass we were stuffing them in the middle.
Even so if 87 does bot let that punt block we would have won !!!
Still ****ed every time somebody remibds me !!

IU was no juggernaut and Cignetti is no genius.

He coaches smart and limits mistakes. That will get you far if you play the cupcake schedule they played the last two years. Then have the easiest bracket in the playoffs.
UM played 3 teams in the playoffs on IU’s level. IU played none on the level of ATM, Miss or OSU in the playoffs.
That takes a toll on a team. It’s hard to play perfect 4 games in a row against the 4 of the best 6 teams in CFB.

Let’s be honest, the NC was a perfect storm for them. Neutral stadium due to how tickets were distributed and they didn’t have to deal with the heat, when we were dominating them in the second half.

That was probably the coldest game played by UM at home in a half century. Didn’t effect us, but it also didn’t effect them as it would have, if it was 80* and 70% humidity.

They won by 6, we gifted them 7.
14 if you take into account giving up a 4th and 9, QB sneak that would have likely decided the game.

It’s a repeat of the 1987 Fiesta. Sometimes it’s not the best team that wins, it’s a couple lucky breaks.
Texas A&M and Ole Miss would have decidedly beat Indiana last year. They lucked out.
Indiana pick 6s TAMUs scrub QB 2x if the guy could even throw it near a player on the field that is.

It's 100% true.

Like Saban, he's a disciple and practitioner of "The Toyota Way".

Cigs didn't cheat (at least I've not heard of anything credible), he's just that smart + caught lightning in a bottle with a very specific group of athletes. He prepared and his chance came. It helped every bounce of the ball went his way last season too. Good for him.

I suspect the who-who-who crowd is in for a big-big-big let down this season and next.

I’m no expert on AI but if you use it to create programs or organization tools and upload your stuff to it for use then it can easily become “found”

Government contractors for this reason are not able to use it freely.

So if our coaches use it to help themselves then it can easily fall into the wrong hands. Food for thought

You insinuating that the NCAA has control.
Over things that the legal system can shut down like player payment and transfers? Nah but over things like “we caught you actually cheating at the game of football”? Yeah they still hold sway. If they would have taken away Michigan’s title, no court would have made them give it back.

College Football Playoffs Iu GIF

I won’t simply dismiss the possibility of “cheating” given what happened with Michigan. But overall, they did have 8 players drafted including #1 overall pick, only one less than we had. They have a decent number projected for 2027 too, and the NFL doesn’t really care where you went to school. So there’s at least pretty good talent they were working with (Clemson, for perspective, had 6 players drafted after both of their championship seasons)

Things like not fumbling and not committing penalties go beyond any potential algorithmic or opponent scout cheating and point to a team that is very fundamentally sound, extremely experienced, well-coached and also lucky. I think they have two outstanding coordinators in particular (even though the DC is an insecure *****).

They had a lot of close-game luck. Penn State, Iowa, OSU in the Big CG….and obviously the NC game against us. Their postgame win expectancy was something like 20% from what I recall. Even the first matchup with Oregon was reasonably close most of the game. And of course, as part of the formula, they play *nobody* out of conference. They were never the juggernaut they were portrayed to be , but they were a genuinely excellent team.

Usually there’s some regression-to-the -mean with respect to close wins/close losses. I would expect that to occur this year, even though they’ll still be very good.
everyone has a tendency to forget they had 8 guys drafted including #1 overall pick & will have a good number drafted again this year.
Cignetti record speaks for itself..... do not. forget in this time of NIL it helps to have mark Cuban & the largest alumni. base in US
lots of positives, wether I like it or not

I can only go by what I hear. What I heard was the IU defense was calling out the Miami offensive plays. Miami changed
Mario was the recruiting coordinator at Bama. I’m sure he’s got plenty of stories that he’ll take to his grave from his time there
Just like baseball steals signs. Why do you think football has 3 players holding up cards and signaling in plays? Everybody wants an advantage. Do you break the rules to achieve the advantage like Michigan did.

You can build an AI model for that

Just saying
