My siblings of the sporting world, please, gather at my feet. I will tell you the tale of my journey through the Offseason, of my search for a Muad’Dib of Miami.

I crossed the sea of green glass
Stepped into the towers of the infinite
Sprinted up their stairs, past the jackals of fate
Looked into the naked eye of the sun
I reached my hand into the future
Pressed my fingers into the unknown
From it, I withdrew an obsidian stone

Upon the face was etched a name
In my palm, the stone became a figure
The frame of a man, strong as the stone
Tall as the towers of the infinite
Faster than the jackals of fate
Unassuming as the sea of glass
His future bright as the eye of the sun…

My son.
Colbie Young.

Despite not playing until the fifth game of the year, Colbie demonstrated a fearlessness not seen in his peers. In a few short games he reached a level of production that, should his QB not have been injured, might have saved the job of the least competent playcaller this living fan has ever seen.

This is what I foresaw:

He shall be a Rambo amongst common soldiers.

The very mention of his name will make DBs feel old.

He shall be held and yet still claim the skin of the pig.

He shall touch down 11 times, while still standing tall.

He shall break the bones of the living and drink their marrow while they still draw breath.

(The last impartation may be influenced by a scintilla of poetic liberty).

Whom has your journey through the offseason revealed to you as the player who will break out from their banal state in the campaign on 2023? And why are you wrongly choosing against Colbie?

This might be my favorite post in years but I don't want the Inday hex on Colbie.

We saw what happened with Keyshawn Smiff.

Offense: Mark Fletcher - willl lead team in rushing TDs.

Defense: Jaden Harris - top 3 in PDs for the team and top 2 in INTs.

Kid will be a Superstar....

Yeah but he said this season. I don't think he'll be a superstar this season, if anything he will have the kind of season Colbie did...start to get some burn in October, flash, and have massive expectations next season.

Inday, I think Colbie is my pick too, BUT, in the spirit of not following in your footsteps, I am going to pick someone else, and my pick is Xavier Restrepo. Maybe kind of a chicken **** pick...I get it, he's been here for a bit and we're expecting big things. But IMO he's the breakout star of the team, other than CY. I expect 50+ catches for over 800 yards and 6+ touchdowns. Dawson has shown a history of rational coaching in his career, and the rational way to coach this offense is to get the ball to the players your QB trusts most, in positions for them to succeed. Too quick for backers and too strong for DBs, I think X will absolutely eat this season. IMO he has a more explosive Braxton Berrios type season.

Berrios went for 55 catches, 679 yards and 9 TDs in 13 games in 2017.

I think Restrepo winds up with more catches for more yards, a higher YPC (because he's going to break a ton of tackles in the middle of the field), and I won't say more than 9 TDs because there's a ton of variance that goes into scoring touchdowns, but I think he gets close.

Give me 63 catches for 867 yards and 6 TDs.
