Including some mods....Congrats Richt Apologists

Lol after the VA game this dude and other apologists : when we win out and win the coastal what will you complain about? After losing to Bc : we can still win the coastal what will you complain about then ? After the GT loss: when we sign a great class what will you complain about then? After class is a disaster : when we go 10-2 or 11-1 next year what will you complain about then ?

Giving a coach who has one of the best coaching records of all active coaches a chance to rebound from a bad year is being an apologist? He only failed to win 10+ games in consecutive seasons one time while at Georgia. Seems to me his track record indicates he'll rebound and get this team where we want it to be next year. And if you opt to think it's impossible, cool, we can revisit next year.

He went unranked 4 out of his last 7 years at Georgia...never sniffed the title there in 15 years despite all the resources and sec money and top 10 classes yearly....1 top 20 offense in 18 years. Some People keep hyping up his resume for some reason
he finished in the top 10 7 times in 15 years at UGA.
it's funny how so of you suddenly try to turn UGA into some sort of perennial national powerhouse simply to sully CMR. they have never been a top SEC or national destination.

Again, those problems were there last year. Defenses adjusted. We didn't. I suspect that won't be the case next year. But, if it is, then I'm sure changes will be forced upon Richt. I just don't see the value in determining certainties about things that are 9 months away from revealing themselves, but that's me.
These Problems have been clearly evident since season 1. There has not only been no changes made, there’s been steady regression.

We don’t have to wait 9 months to see if things will be better. We already know they won’t, because the same coach will be coordinating the O.

It's entirely possible that Richt changes nothing or even just very little and hangs his hat on:

1) improved QB & OL play, even if marginally, which itself would be a huge improvement
2) young kids who were playing too many meaningful snaps this year when they weren't ready who next season should begin to settle in with that experience
3) another soft schedule that his team will now not take for granted.

If those things happen and we go 10-2 or 11-1, what will the board angrily complain about then?

1. No visors
2. Black cleats
3. Never should have left Nike
4. No arm sleeves

I think you're kinda missing the whole point of being a "fan", so in your opinion unless you totally bail out on the program you're an "apologist", ok...good to know.

It’s 3 bad years. His offense has been embarrassing for three years. And he’s done nothing to improve it.

Where you been the last 10 years?!! Noise get people fired whether you believe that or not! Ask Randy and Fat Al!! AD did nothing until the huge backlash from the fans!! I know you will dispute this in 1, 2, 3!!

Noise yes, flailing about on a message board...not so much.

You can keep bringing up the bad offense and yeah, it's been bad, but if you have a bad offense and win games, isn't that what matters? Yes, I know we want our offense to score 50+ every game. I get it. We have the talent and we should be able to. I personally want someone else to be the OC. But, he's not going that way this or next year, so I'm not going to wrap my feelings around something I can't control. The pressure is clearly on him to get results next year or changes will be forced on him again, at least in my opinion. So either next year we win a bunch of games or we get a new OC thereafter. Seems like I get what I want either way.

If Richt has one of the best coaching records among all active coaches, why did he get fired from Georgia?

What’s the point of being a fan if you don’t care how the team performs?

Same reason Tony Dungy was fired. Big difference tho is Gruden won a ring immediately and then ruined the program. So far Kirby is a completely lateral move making the firing a mistake.

Well, if you don't see the need to improve the offense lets see how that works out next season when he doesn't have Manny's defense to save him!

Can you point out where I said we don't need to improve? I can point to saying I personally think he needs a new OC, but maybe words are hard for others.

It's somewhat disconcerting you think this board has any effect on what happens in the real world.

I don't even know why I'm engaging, but if you don't think kids, parents, coaches, and media read this board and when it's just a flood of menstruation like it is now, it alters perception of the program. The non-stop shivering and crying by the severely uneducated on this board absolutely, 100000% has an effect on recruiting. Are kids basing their decisions on this board? Of course not. Does the thread after thread proclaiming the program dead and incessant crying slightly help alter perception in people's minds? 100000%.

This is exactly how local/national media works. But again, there's not many intelligent people here, so I understand that this is lost on the majority.
