We will be alright fellas.

Need to heal for October.

Our D adjusted to pressure Wakes QB who sucks throwing across field. Their TE number 10 saved his ****.

That's why we blitzed his left side Our players mounted up on D.

Offense did go into a shell. Could be potential injury stuff. Or, Shannon clamed up.

Wake Forest adjusted well in the second half. They played hard and have some players. 8 and 10. If they keep their head up, they will beat most of the ACC.

Canes. Time to strap up. Play every game like it was last year playoff game.

Why does it seem I am the only one who noticed Poyser went out in the 3rd qtr? Wake scored when he was out, Fitz had to play FS mid drive. We didn't have 3 of our 4 starting secondary. That's a lot to overcome.

I agree however, I really like how the D won the game in the 4th qtr. It was that DL which stepped up especially #10. Hopefully we start to see #10 getting the sacks we were all expecting.

Poyser went out for a couple of plays. Fletcher and Mali weren’t 100%. Lofton and Moten both had injury scares. Brown is likely out for the year

Given Mario and Dawsons track history, are people really that surprised we clammed up?

How many sacks did we miss this game? That needs to get better!
I counted 7. Lightfoot ran past one, Blount 1, Damari 1, Dunnigan 2, Thornton 1, and I think it was Smith on another one, maybe Toure.

Bigger QBs would have been destroyed on some of them. Lopez being short and elusive saved him. Plus this defense just plays out of control.

I think they’ll dial it back and become more reliable. A lot easier to coach a kid to take your foot off the gas than it is to try to get someone to become more aggressive and violent who is timid.

Here's what I see.

Toney was mysteriously hurt where he wasn't allowed on the field and never saw a trainer.

Fletcher went to the locker room with an undisclosed upper body injury

Dawson not calling any plays beyond 3 yards except one that was a blatant uncalled DPI.

Late roughing the passer on a turnover when all Wilson did was take an extra step.

Something was off that second half that feels forced.

I think this game could get this defense going. The pass rush was definitely better. It comes down to tackling that will make or break this season.
Tackling was an issue early last season. It will get better as the season goes on. The defense played a lot of snaps and a lot of guys saw the field. That’s going to be valuable as the season goes on.

Thanks. If we make half of those..it’s a different ball game. Mensah said it in his post game presser - this is a wake up call and I hope we take it as such!
