In order for Miami to be back...

My point is with the recievers we had that year Ty Hilton was a we cant take everybody numbers game.. and our lord and savior Butch Davis didnt even want Roscoe Parrish.... I dont think wev'e misscouted many players. Like a previvuos poster pointed out weve slow played players that shouldve been the priority a lot of times.... We shoud croot players like I do women... prioritize the sevens and 8's with not a lot of makeup rather then go after the dimes that everybody is coveting..

I agree w that. But u can’t say we don’t miss targets. If we didn’t, we wouldn’t be having thread after thread after thread about this player should be looked at or that player should be looked at. From top to bottom, we’ve been a **** poor recruiting team.

Never said there wasn’t nice places in Broward. This zbro guy made this whole thing about money because he’s obviously insecure about what he has in his bank.
No, you tried to trash where I lived and you had no idea that Miami well to do areas are normal in West broward...even East broward to a point.

That’s enough derailing for me tonight.

What do we have to do?

My take

-Get a dynamic offense in Miami. This has held us back the last few years. We need to be fast , explosive, and score in bunches without any remorse for the other team. it’s clear we won’t be an elite recruiting team but richt at least stockpiled us with an elite recruiting class in 2018 especially at the skill positions. With the right oc hire we can be very explosive

-recruit at an ever higher level, Enough with the misses. Get some coaches in there to be able to close. It shouldn’t be this hard where we are striking out on literally everyone we go after this cycle.

-continue to invest in facilities, don’t just sit on the ipf and think the job is done. There is always areas of improvement, a big time locker room renovation is needed considering other instate schools are getting upgrades soon. This is very appealing to recruits and they want the best of the best. Push the envelope, the work isn’t anywhere near done...

-make Miami an attractive school to go to. Turnover chain and 10-0 #2 ranking before the final week of the season was no doubt appealing. We have to continue to push the envelope and be successful on the field. Get rid of these flat games, bad blowout losses in prime time games and bowl game collapses.

- when I was Growing up back in the early 2000s teams used to fear Miami, I dont Get that sense anymore, we need that type of edge back in the program

These are just a few suggestions but what else?

Top notch coach and assistants...thats it...F facilities, F the stadium, F the attendance....top notch coach....thats it....nothing else.....if Saban, Meyer or Dabo were here we would "be back"....end of story

- Don’t embarrass our selves by creating threads about 2018 kids after striking out in 2019.

In order for Miami to be back we have to be more concerned about winning than PR. We also need regain our identity as the bad boys of college football. One of the reasons why FSU has been the better program this last decade is bc they could care less about PR, they're all about winning. They went and grabbed Briles. Something Miami wouldn't do bc he came with some baggage. Above all Miami needs to remember one very important key to success...

One thing is needed: an elite HC who can recruit, develop, and coach.

Look at Bama and Clemson. They are excellent examples of teams that are elite in all components (which is why they will play for the title on Monday). They are elite because they have elite coaches. And when Miami was great it had elite coaches, or top talent recruited by elite coaches.

Elite teams are coached or built by elite coaches. What does Miami need to be back? An elite coach; but getting one is another matter.
