Schiano instead of Richt? He would probably still be HC and we’d be an 8-9 win team crushed by Clemson.

they play in conference usa its not even in the level of the mountain west. Its one of the worst conferences in college football. Expecting him to not win that but suddenly take us to the CFP sounds a little ridiculous.

Butch is a recruiter he ain’t doing **** if he can’t recruit, it’s like saban he’s a recruiter he’s no x and o genius. They need a program willing to want to do all to win it’s about fit......saban gets coached around by dabo who’s better on the x and os......nick just out athleted everyone. Fiu is hot garbage playing hot garbage it cancels itself out. Butch ain’t no x and o guy no one here wants him for that we want the Sean Taylor the saps the reeds that’s what the U is about

Butch would have been a bag equalizer. His proven record alone would have kept some of these bag chasers home. No one is going to line up to play for this G5 staph, especially with no incentives.

well im here to tell u he aint outrecruiting kirby, saban and dabo without any money. Butch made his living finding hidden jewels. Its much harder these days with all of the recruiting services.

Richt had a better record that was more recent what did that get us with no money?? The kids at that age know more abt what mark richt did than butch davis

Kids want to be first rounders though and butch can develop he has that going for him......at the end of the day can you make my son an nfl player is a big deal besides bags

Well Richt did get a #8 class. He didn't keep the elites home but he brought in talent. A part of it was due to how bad his staff is at recruiting. No one is lining to play for a bartender. Kool didn't even recruit.

or a seasoned coach. Gary patterson comes to mind. Manny and staff making rookie mistakes. He needed a veteran on the defensive side of the ball and special teams. Hard enough trying to figure things out on the fly. Think abt this from the time richt took over we saw a change in how the program was run. That was experience we can clown richt for 7-5 but he still started the season like 5-1. It was the best coaching we had here in years.
