Just so I’m clear and for those that maybe don’t know, this is the fella who attends the Canes games in full uniform and sits in the stands to honor his late brother who had this wish just before he passed in the hospital. Am I correct?

If so, this is pretty cool of the team to ensure this fan is not left out and looks the part as he honors his brother! Go Canes!

Yep, I've known Shelton for many years now. Dude is humble AF, down to earth and if you know his story...you know. Dude goes to all home and away games, and for the most part has paid his own way, paid for his jersey etc...so glad to see Miami finally honor him and hook him up. His brother is smiling from Heaven.

Also...shout out to our SID...he's been known to many fans for a while, but during BCC Game he got on TV and commentary was that he was some type of super fan, then moments later, broadcast team told his story, because our SID got a hold of them and told them his true story.

Let me add on to the folks that have spoken to the character of Shelton. He's a humble and kind human being. One of the most genuine people I've met going to Canes games throughout the years. I don't think I've ever seen him turn down a picture with anyone with his gear on - especially kids, and even stretching to opposing fans.

This is good stuff overall, and the kind of thing that makes me proud when the program recognizes and honors it.
