We need to just leave Manny and the coaching staff alone for now. All of the attention should be on the Athletic Department. Heck, if we actually had a competent AD, who knows, maybe they’d be able to support the FB coach they way they are supposed to and help him figure this ish out.
I’m not saying the coaching isn’t the problem, clearly it is. I’m just saying there is absolutely no point in bringing heat on the coaches as long as the same leadership is in charge of oversight and talent acquisition.
Exactly Boss which is why it’s smarter and better for everyone involved to pull off the bandaid now and get it over with. Diaz is dead man walking and it’s only gonna get worse for everyone, own up to your mistake BoT and fire Blake James, Strawley and let a new competent AD decide Diaz’s fate.If manny fired enos and Baker, no decent coach will take those jobs.
He’s a dead man waking.
I agree that the OL is a complete nightmare and is killing our ability to have any consistency on offense, but it's far from our only problem. The defense is just awful and really has been all year. Every position group seems to have regressed dramatically from last year, I feel like we have given up more big plays in the first 5 games this year than we did in the last 3 years combined. In a nutshell, the problem on this team is the offensive line. Period. With a decent line, we can run the ball, control the clock, give the QB time to downfield throws (because Brevin, JT, et al are getting open). Doing these things will mean the defense, which has clearly regressed (that's not debatable), spends less time on the field. Er go, gives up less points. Bottom line = we win against Florida - we only lost by 4. Definitely win against North Carolina, and wins against VT. The O-line is the main issue. Everything snowballs from there.
You know what will fire the university president? Our ******* sinking academic rankings! You known the only thing we had to be proud of after the troll left. Well now our rankings are right there with FSU, let that sink in and then tell me frenk doesn’t deserve to be given his walking papers. So I guess you are pretty much done with the Canes for the foreseeable future? Why don't you put as bullet point #4 that we need to hire Mike Tomlin while your at it? Dude they are not going to fire the university president because athletics is bad. That aint his job.
Blake MIGHT be on a Hot Seat but who knows. But that's a pipe dream as well.
Firing Diaz is the easiest solution of course.
Fvck you coward! Keep supporting this abortion of admin if you want, but us fans that care are taking action. You don’t like it, then go play in traffic *****!Here's to hoping you get into a debilitating car crash before this gets any more traction (although not sure $320 qualifies as "traction" lol).

My point is that with an efficient offense, you minimize the exposure of the defense. Its a known fact that a defense that's not on the field cant give up big plays/points lol. But seriosuly, the more time the D spends on the sidelines, the less tired they are. Maybe it helps them play harder. Its the old adage - One hand washes the other.I agree that the OL is a complete nightmare and is killing our ability to have any consistency on offense, but it's far from our only problem. Shaq and Pinckney are shadows of their former selves, Patchan's next big play will be his first big play and wtf happened to Garvin, he's invisible out there. Not to mention the safeties are a huge liability. Poor play coupled with poor play calling on defense is the most shocking thing to me about this year's team. I really enjoyed watching our defense the last few years, those days are over, I feel like I'm watch the D'no defense again, it's maddening.
Well buddy I’ll tell you this much we are only 120$ away from calling out the cancer in this admin that’s been ruining the program for 15 years. And me and brothers on here that love this program have donated to this cause, cowards like you who want to remain on the sideline fine, keep supporting/emboldening this abortion of an admin as they feed you **** every Saturday in the fall. Lol you can go back to pretending to do your job now Blake James or Jen Strawley. LmaoYou and your $320 are taking some serious action. I'm sure people at UM almost know who you are at this point.
OK, that's not true. Nobody knows who you are and you're completely irrelevant. But hey, you've got 4 or 5 people riled up on an anonymous message board, so you've only got a few more thousand miles to go.

We all need realize we are basically in pre howard days now.howard,Jimmy or butch could not turn this **** show around in 1or 2 yrs.whoever the next hc is we will have give him at 3yrs before we see any type of improvement.I mean playing Miami football.right now everyone atitude needs act like we don't have a history until we become irrelevant again.the whole situation with Miami is nothing but a continual circle jerk thats been going on for years. i wrote this in another post and this is the only 3 things that will save Miami football .... nothing else and nothing less .
1. a UM president committed to providing the resources for a championship football program.
2. an athletic director with the exact same mindset and ability as Sam Jankovich
3. a head football coach like Howard Schnellenberger with the right vision and skills to build a program that can win a championship.
I gave Diaz a fair shot at the beginning but now it is clear to see that he is in over his head. Personally I would like to see a new coach and staff brought in but since that is not likely to happen this year I thought I would give my opinion on what Diaz needs to do to keep his job and what he can do right now to at least attempt to turn this thing around.
The problem is as follows. Manny Diaz screwed up royally when he didn't realize the importance of surrounding himself with a top notch staff with a good mix of accomplished veteran coaches and bright young coaches who can recruit at an elite level. The staff Diaz has assembled is a joke. It is a total clown show. Yes Enos is an experienced and quality QB coach with the potential to be a good OC but his system is predicated on running the football and having a good to great offensive line. That system could be great at OSU, Michigan, Wisconsin, Alabama, LSU or Georgia but not at Miami. That offense is just not practical here at Miami for the simple fact that we do not have the ability to consistently field great offensive lines.
What Miami needs to be is a wide open and up tempo passing offense that utilizes spread principles from the shotgun to get the ball to its plethora of playmakers in space while utilizing the running game as a function of or changeup to the passing offense. What we saw Saturday in the second half is who this offense is. That is our identity and that is what we should be utilizing from this point forward and Perry needs to be the QB. Jarren Williams is still a great prospect with tons of potential but Perry fits much better with what our true identity based on our strengths is. Diaz and Enos would be insane not to see this. A blind man could see it with a cane!
I think it really speaks to the collective wisdom of the coaching staff or more accurately lack thereof that they thought they could go with a dink and dunk ball control and play it safe passing game with Jarren Williams and supplement that with a power based running game. Apparently they knew that with Williams at QB the playbook would be cut down considerably but justified it by thinking that we could consistently move the ball in this game manager type fashion without risking turnovers hence the whole "Don't burn the house down" mantra we heard all summer. So again what we have here is another staph that wants the offense to be something it is not based on risk aversion and fear. The amusing irony to all of this is that Manny's emphasis on risk aversion and not "Burning the house down" is more than likely the very thing that is going to burn his job as head coach and his career down.
On defense what we see is a combination of factors not the least of which is the obvious fact that Blake Baker in way in over his head combined with the fact that the defensive staff is filled by position coaches who have absolutely no business coaching here. They are all young and inexperienced being led by a DC who is literally overwhelmed and has no idea what to do and how to most effectively use his personel. Todd Stroud is the one experienced coach but his last gig was at Akron and he was originally hired here to be support staff. After 5 games I would venture to guess that we can all see why. It is not surprising in the least that Diaz has made the move to take over the defense. Say what you will about Diaz as a head coach but he has proven he can be an effective DC in the right situation.
Right about now Diaz is most likely realizing how bad he screwed up when he went about putting together his staff. I loved the firing of the previous offensive staff but Manny made a huge error in judgement when he let Enos bring in his entire staff of CMU flunkies. Like I have said before, Enos is a good QB coach and could be a good OC but his scheme is not practical for UM. What Diaz needs to do right now to save his job is plain to see. First he must relieve Blake Baker of his play calling duties and take over himself. Next he must command Enos to run the type of uptempo shotgun based wide open spread type offense that this offense thrives in and that includes making Perry the starter and abandoning all the ridiculous and extraneous under center power running and play action garbage. Once the season is over he must fire the entire staff on both sides of the ball. Enos will most likely leave on his own so that should take care of most of the offensive staff but if not then fire them all. Diaz must then go out and get himself a real staff of competent and experienced coaches who will develop the players and run the schemes that naturally fit who we are. That means high flying and downhill on both sides of the ball. Lastly for the love of all that is good get an experienced veteran coach to head the special teams and get Baxa out of here. Diaz does need to keep one coach from this current regime and that is David Feely who has IMO done an excellent job thus far
Jesus
