2001 would be hard to replicate by anyone, I don’t think there’s been a team in all of college football since 2001 that’s been as talented or dominating. Even then, we came within a hair of losing a game to Boston College that season. Literally was a disaster in the making until a fluke interception.

LSU with Joe was pretty dang good.

I agree.

BC 2001, this was why I said dominate the playoffs much like 2001 dominated Nebraska and a bunch of other good teams. Our regular season schedule may have 2 ranked teams.

Of the last ten national champions not a single one went thru a 13 or 14 game schedule without winning at least one game that could have been tied or lost on the final possession. There were three that were the closest 2018 Bama 2021 UGA 2020 Bama
 
Dominate everyone we play. Do that, then put several guys in the first round the next few years.

Even the 2001 team had struggles against BC and VT. Talent wise, the best ever. Staying motivated? Not so much.
