We played essentially a D2 school, and then a G5 school with a below average defense. Let’s not look too into those stats just yet. 77-0 really skews the numbers
Your posts are incoherent, poorly written, and are based on false premises that you made up so you can apout your pre-programmed cliches. Time to log off and go back to your room. Don’t forget your life alert.
Toledo is not essentially a d2 school and do you know how many power 5 schools lost to group of 5 schools yesterday ? A lot including a couple of ranked onesWe played essentially a D2 school, and then a G5 school with a below average defense. Joe Jackson and garvin need to switch sides immediatelyMy purely objective observations:
1. Offense needs more creative looks, and route patterns. Also more plays getting athletes in space. If Harley would have stuck with West Virginia, he'd have 250 and 3 TD's right now just due to the nature of the offense.
2. Not having a true RT and RG. I'd oversign on OL this class.
3. It's been already said, but the position coaches are too green. Even if we replace 2 of them with proven coaches with a solid pedigree, that would do wonders.
4. Joe Jackson is average. I watched all of his get offs this game and he does not fire off the ball. This what happens will you add 30 pounds on a kid in 2.5 years. Yes, some kids can carry it well, but for some reason our kids don't. Bethel is a non factor as well. Put on too much weight and now he isn't as effective as he could've been. But this goes back to how we recruit. All of our DE recruits are 210-225 range we they come in. Ok, Fine! But when we need a true SDE to set the edges and still be effective against the pass, we need a natural 270-280 pounder. Not a 225 kid blown up 40 pounds by his junior year.
5. Michael Jackson is zone corner. Doesn't have quick feet to be a sticky cover corner. Trajan a stud

Oh, stand corrected the on that pointI said “essentially a d2 school AND a g5 school”... clearly implying Savannah state was the d2 school, not Toledo. Reading comprehension on this site seems to be non-existent
My apology. It was Derrick SmithCarter didn't even make the trip yesterday. He was out for a funeral.
Never implied the DT sets the edge. Comment was when is Diaz going to learn about setting the edge. When is a DT “ever setting the edge” .....
As far as I’m concerned the run defense has been better this season than last. Will say that I didnt like how they let the qb pickup yards rushing when we could have had a negatively play. I blame Diaz as he should have put a spy on him which is how they got yards in the run game really
Not bad despite the way we started off the season against lsu.3. We've scored 143 pts in 3 games. 14th nationally in scoring.
4. We're 22nd nationally in Run Defense. 1st nationally in TFL. 21st in sacks. 29th nationally in long plays allowed.
Not true. Actually off the all of last season and through 3 games this season. Not to mention we haven't beaten a top 20 team in forever. We can be honest about our team without abandoning them.Empty conclusions based off 1 game vs LSU by the OP. @arizonacane
Those stats are padded a little by the fact that we played Savannah State. Savannah State didn't even have 100 yards in total offense.3. We've scored 143 pts in 3 games. 14th nationally in scoring.

Played LSU who had less than 300 yards total, Toledo who has an elite offensive system had 335 yards. #2 in the country in 3rd down conversions on defense. LSU was what 2 for 15 on 3rd downs? They did more on offense away at auburn than they did agaisnt us in terms of yards and converting 3rd downs. Savannah state/Toledo wasn’t any better. Those stats are padded a little by the fact that we played Savannah State. Savannah State didn't even have 100 yards in total offense.
We have to see in the upcoming games if these are persistent problems within your observations or little things that will get better as the team plays each week and gets some cohesion. This is not an abandonment of my team. Just a statement of what I believe are our main problems we have to get fixed after having solved the facilities and many of the other issues with this organization.
