I can't speak for this kid, but in the actual bad neighborhoods there are plenty of kids who go through life with absolutely NOBODY telling them about the benefits of education. I know guys who had a parent tell them school is a waste of time and the only way to get money in this world is in the streets.

I hear ya', but I believe this kids troubles were self inflicted. He did 3 years at one College away from home, so somebody was in His ear. Some kids are just self destructive.

LMAO, I retired at 26 I use the economy to make money to this day. I used the RE market to make easy money for 33 years now. Every one of my investments are up right now. Silver, My RE investment has doubled in 4 years, My IRA up over 8.5% this year. The economy is doing better now than it has been for years, but dopes like you can't see it. Will it crash of course, but I'll be out again by then.

You're funny, met a 23 year old black kid at the gym today, I say kid because I'm almost 60 now. He came fror SW Florida had a gators hat on I flashed him the U and we started talking. I gave him some pointers on the housing market and a local bank he can get 3% interest on his savings instead of .25% his bank was giving him. We talked for over a half hour. He was strugling with a 1 year old at home and girl friend. Most of my friends at the gym are not white. LMAO Could it be an ******* old white guy actually cares about black people too? Is that a bad thing?

I hear where you coming from..but you generalizing a whole lot. You don’t know the kids whole situation. Meaning there very well could’ve been someone who tried to tell him reality. Be careful doing that. BUT your point (excluding Trabis because you don’t know the situation, if you do correct me) does ring true for a lot of athletes, and not just black ones. And I doubt there wasn’t nobody, at least 1 person who tried to guide this kid and others like him on the right path. You can stress education all you want but if a kid don’t listen or don’t wanna hear it at the time it’s nothing you can do. A lot of times kids just gotta learn it for themselves bro.

What's kept me retired is I do know Real estate better than most and I'm good with money. I found ways to make money with RE that most don't know of. I did it with land in Vero beach. You want to debate RE I'm all for it PM me any questions you have. What I did tell that young man was to save his money for a good down payment, both him and his girl have good jobs at one of the top Casino's in Vegas. Don't over extend that will put pressure on both him and his girl and the little boy will end up paying for it.

He knew what I was saying because him and his girl friends parents were divorced, like mine were. He really opened up to me, he could tell I cared. Got his phone out to look up the credit union I was talking about for the 3% interest. He is only paying 800 a month in rent which is cheap here, they could stash away money. I told him this market is looking like it's close to peaking it's not a buyers market yet. If the economy slows, house prices will come down. If the economy keeps going up for a short time, interest rates will go up later on in the year, house prices go down. The only reason prices have gone up so much here is the CA people are taking their money and running here, now that CA RE market is tanking it should slow here as with many markets.

Been watching Florida again seems to hit a wall, been looking at condo's on B beach on the intecoastal, they are already starting to come down. Sales are down 11% even with short sales, foreclosures were even. Listings are up the highest since 2011, Closed sales tanking in Jan, lowest at least from 2012, with Lower transaction volume and higher inventory there will be only one direction to go. The next 2 or 3 months will tell the tale let's see if it picks up if not the bubble bursts and I might pick up a condo there. Pm me any time ...
