I'm stunned and shocked (in a good way)...

I had been preparing for the worst the past few weeks, and the season almost felt over after the SMU loss. But this team get plugging along, and Mario Cristobal showed some signs of evolution. The public outcry became louder and louder and some highly influential voices backed Miami. It was almost surreal to see UM get this kinda support. And every game that Miami needed to flip a certain way, didn't go their way till probably yesterday. Then we had some hope.

Still, I think this is a rigged system for certain team and conferences (you know which ones). So I was pretty guarded in my optimism. Then I get some texts from people I consider very knowledgeable who felt we'd get the shaft. It was a buzzkill this morning, can't lie.

But now Miami is in the tourney. It's a tough bracket, but hey, it is what it is. Not making it last year was different because that defense was so bad you kinda knew this team was limited. This one can actually make a real run. That's what would've been the frustrating part of this whole ordeal

The Hurricanes are in the playoffs. Lets line up, and in the words of Jimmy Johnson: "Lets play some game."

I’m ecstatic. OSU had the death bracket last year too and left no doubt that they were the best team. We’ve got an opportunity to do it now. 100000% locked in, day in and day out. We’re competing for a national championship now, for real.

If the team that left Pittsburgh shows up in College Station we can beat anyone. All we can ask for is a opportunity. Now let's hope we meet the moment.

No one should be shocked. Once BYU and Bama got their asses kicked we were in

The only question was would we be in over ND or would they put us both in.

I can’t help but ask how you replied to those knowledgeable people?

You are far too classy to rub it in their faces, but you must have felt like doing it?

Steel sharpens steel. Going through the gauntlet to get to the championship game is going to have us ready to win #6 at home.

I'm just glad I didn't have to quit CFB.
Agreed, but it’s a short term solution. I am all in watching the canes and have great confidence that they will take advantage of that opportunity. They match up with anyone on offensive and defensive lines of the ball.

The problem with the system and long term for Miami is the bias towards the SEC. The sec was 6-4 against the ACC with 4 of the wins for the SEC being against Syracuse , VT and split with FSU. Better but not dominant to earn 5 spots. Alabama had no business being in the tournament with 2 of three losses being blow outs. The system is broken.

Doesn’t matter this year, time to show up and display the talent that we know Miami has. For all the faults, Mario shows up in big games . Let him cook.

Go Canes!!

well, these guys are actually Miami fans. They were in despair in the morning preparing for the worst. Look, I get it. We all kinda felt that way if we are being honest
