Thanks, NOT a VN Vet, got the tour jacket from a friend (I am writing a book about Vietnam, however).

Just missed it, Draft #24, Nixon stopped the call up because the Paris Peace Talks finally stopped our participation. Had it gone those extra two years, I was 1A - Instead, I got to go play college football and chase girls - not fair how fate rolls the dice. I had some older guys from my little Peace River neighborhood who were a few years older who were there; 138 from my high school served in Vietnam - that's a lot from the little town of Punta Gorda and Charlotte County.

But Welcome Home any of you who were there, March 29 was VN Veterans Day.
