I do not care who they have beaten, as I learned long ago (started as a 'Cane Fan in '79) football is not transitive, i.e. being or relating to a relation with the property that if the relation holds between a first element and a second and between the second element and a third, it holds between the first and third elements. USF was ranked, but is a G5 and BCU is FCS. All the wins except tonight have been at home...And yes, the team could still go 8-4.

Ok, so football is not transitive and FSU-Bama & Florida-Texas aren’t relevant. Then, just consider current rankings as a measure of an opponent’s worth. It’s early, but Miami has imposed its will on three ranked teams - #16 Notre Dame, #24 South Florida & #25 FSU. Doubt anyone else has defeated 3 ranked teams at this point. Will also give a nod to the Florida win - whether we care about their handling Texas or not, as it’s a major rivalry game. ****, ND is a rivalry game & so is FSU & arguable South Florida.
But hey, we’re 5-0 & could still go 8-4. So finish out 3-4? That’s a solid take.

Any games ((excepting Stanford) on the schedule could be a loss. I recall last year and '17 where the pundit's would say "...And Miami is favored over all the teams left on their schedule." How did that work out? Only eight wins is probably not the ceiling for this team, but if they lose two, it could doom the playoff if no ACCG. SMU is in Dallas, Pitt and Syracuse have done this team in before regarding the playoffs. Sorry, after 46 years of fandom, I have seen to much (BYU loss, Vinnie Picks, Washington ending the home winning streak, Terry Porter flag, etc.) to be smug until the HC is riding on the players shoulders.

Talk about glass half empty. You really should just not watch till the end of the year. Only a true mope would talk like this about the #2 team that is 5-0. Just enjoy the ride

this team is so far from losing 4 games. it would take a pretty significant amount of injuries for 4 losses at this point.

Enjoy the wins, I AM DOING THE SAME, but 2017 wasn't too long ago. Lived through the mid to late 90s and the greatness of Shannon (OB Virginia, USF), Golden (Destruction by Dabo), and Manny (FIU), so more likely than not, something unfortunate will happen. Use the search function, I wasn't on board with Mario being HC, but his philosophy of 1-0 every week is exactly what is needed, not going wild in October. Use the search function again, and you will see I can't stand Musk, but he encapsulated people craving empathy for everything they do, including their opinions.
