At a UM pro day around 2001-2002, ST26 was a freshman or sophomore. Lots of NFL scouts were there for UM seniors and juniors, as is typical for school pro days. One scout saw ST26 working out separately because he wasn't in that year's draft. He was just lifting on his own. The scout approached him and asked him if he played sam, mike or will. ST26 replied, "I play safety."
Ill say without a shred of hyperbole that Sean Taylor could have played literally any position on a football field in college outside of the OL and DL(He could have played edge WDE).

ST26 could have been a great RB, WR, TE and even QB(I never said he would be a heisman candidate). On defense he could have played any position in the back seven in addition to Edge. He had the speed and athleticism to play CB and the size, speed and ability to play any LB position.

Sean Taylor was quite frankly the best natural athlete/football player that I have ever seen. RIP Sean Taylor.

Not necessarily a quote but Rusty Medearis was asked if the Canes were overlooking that week's opponent ahead of fsu game.
Medearis said, "No" then walked away whistling the fsu chant.

"Don't ask me if I'm alright. Joachin said to dominate and we aint doing it."

Probably my favorite UM quote of all time. What's your favorite UM quote?
How about any new quote that hasn’t been said yet that refers to us winning now and in the future. I can’t tell you how sick I am of living in the past with these quotes. I’m over that stuff , let’s start winning now and get some new quotes in this program versus living in the past.

Exactly. And that's the point. A pro scout saw him, didn't know who he was, and based on his size asked him which LB he played, meaning he looks big and strong and a pro scout assumed he played a bigger bodied position.

Chris Rix played against Miami what seems like 9 times, thankfully. He pre snap saw about 15 #26 jerseys before every play. ST was so in Rix's head. I wish we could always have ST and fsu always had to have Rix.

Okay, there are people out there on CanesTime that really think all these things happened. Well, the fact of the matter is it didn’t. It never happened once. Not one iota. Not one. And for people to believe that. Guys like Sebastian91, Hulkacaniac and BigPoppaCane and every one else of his buddies on CanesTime who really think I was attacked by a bear and had the swine flu and think I was this jerk that doesn’t pay child support, it’s absolute garbage and it’s rubbish and it’s not true. And I’m sick and tired of it and I’m sure every one of my fellow Canes are sick and tired of me having to address this crap for the last two years. This **** is going to stop immediately. I’m sick of it and my fellow Canes are as well. This **** is gonna stop because I’m addressing it right now and I’m addressing it for the last time. It’s garbage and it’s rubbish and it’s not true and it’s total garbage. For those that been behind me all this time, I thank you for being in my corner, but for the idiots that want to continue this ****, YOU CAN ALL GO TO ****** ****. YOU CAN ALL GO TO ****. I thank you for this time. Thank you for those Canes being in my corner. Thank you. May God Bless You and Go Canes.

"Our defense is going to be aggressive. Our DTs are going to stunt every snap and also cover their WR1 on post patterns, all on the same play..."
