If you watched Diaz last few interviews

Good coaches make decisions that help them to get where they want to.saban,Meyer,JJ and others took lower tier hc jobs then moved up.if Manny leaves for temple he will be at a big time school within a couple years.we here know how good a coach he is hate for us to pass on him for another bum coach.

I think Diaz would stay at Miami, similar to how Venerables is if he were to earn a little more while also seeing this program be on its way to where Clemson is right now. The sad thing is, we're hamstrung by Richt, and Manny sees that clear as day. I'm serious at this point as I'd rather Manny be HC than Richt. At this point, I couldn't blame the man either. Richt's not doing him any favors, and Manny sees that Richt's not doing his best in trying to win. Richt's at the end of his career, Manny's still at the beginning.
even if you are sober, do you have any idea what it would take and how long to get Miami to where Clemson is right now ?
Diaz and Miami and Venables and Clemson in the same sentence --- the dog is still laughing his *** off at that one !

just having fun with ya Man... but you get the point

Manny has a ton of goodwill built up in Miami. If he goes to Temple and tries to run his defense with lesser athletes, he'll struggle.

Manny knows what happened at Texas and Miss St when he did not have the SoFla speed. Think Temple job would get him back to being a DC again in about 3 years.

You are delusional if you think if diaz leaves coach richt wont find somebody else. Although he'd refer manny stay, coach richt has already proven he's good at hiring people!
Pretty sure he's been grooming his wife for the DC spot since he's been here. We are in good hands, for sure.

Did coach richt not call you the next day or did he come home late. You guys with the emotional tendencies need to wear more blue and take your pink socks off. To act like coach rumph and banda just dont exist shows how simple minded you are, you were probably crying when coach kool left cause you got fed the "he's considered to be the best d-line coach" than you probably were one of the ones who named names of who coach richt should replace kool with and none of your guesses had simpson. Than you want to act like coach brown is not doing workk with the runninbacks. I got an idea, find the nearest circus, they've been waiting on an act like yours!
You realize a good number of top notch DBs and RBs are gonna come to Miami because of the geography and kids wanting to stay home, so don’t act like Banda Rumph and Brown are elite. Plus, at most other schools guys with an OC title like Thomas Brown go recruit and CLOSE on other positions too.

Elite coaches can recruit and coach at any school, anywhere. As I said, outside of Dugans and Manny, the rest of our staff couldn’t be placed at other schools and succeed because of inexperience.

Diaz brought the defensive staff, a few of them have followed him to 3-4 places

From the time that Richt took the job, it should've taken him about 5-6 years. We should see a steady progression. We're not seeing it though.

Not sure how Temple Admin works, but their returning players are politicing for Fran Brown to return there. Hoping Manny stays with us for a couple more years. We shall see.

Temple will offer in the 3 mill range. You would have to be dumb not to take it.

but Temple is not a "destination job" either. You go to Temple to eventually end up in a place like Miami. Diaz is already in Miami so is in a better spot to be a HC here if he plays his cards right.

Personally, if I were him I wouldn't take it, it is a good job though. I would just wait for something in the south, Temple for him though, would be a good stepping stone, that program has become pretty consistent.

I feel like Venebales knows Saban is going to retire sooner rather than later so if he waits another few years he could slide into the Clemson job if Dabo moves to Bama.

If I were Manny I would be patient and keep producing because Richt can't last forever going 7-5.

Manny has not only rebuilt his image as a good DC, but he's launched himself into discussion as the next HC for Miami.

What Manny did was show he can adapt. He was awful at Texas and went back to the drawing board and built himself back up. We struggled badly last year with 3rd downs and covering TE's, what does he do? Put's a striker position in his defense to take advantage of a hybrid S/LB and dramatically improves our defense on third down.
