If I were creating a 32 team super league, I would choose only the best of all. 16 teams in each conference (SEC & B10) Here Is what I would do:
SEC
1-Alabama
2-Georgia
3-LSU
4-Tennessee
5-Florida
6-FSU
7-Miami
8-Clemson
9-Auburn
10-Texas A*M
11-Texas
12-Oklahoma
13-South Carolina
14-North Carolina
15-West Virginia
16-NC State

B10
1-Ohio State
2-Michigan
3-Michigan State
4-Penn State
5-Notre Dame
6-USC
7-UCLA
8-Nebraska
9-Oregon
10-Washington
11-Wisconsin
12-Virginia
13-Virginia Tech
14-Colorado
15-Utah
16-Stanford

Take the top 6 from each at the end of the season, top two in each get a bye...at the end its b10 vs SEC for the title
Thoughts?

I like it, but as much as I hate the Gaytor, I would have them in over both Auburn and USCe

There's a handful of G5 schools I'd take over some of these P5 bottom feeders being mentioned.

Your exclusion of the turds, jawjaw, and the pedo lions makes me very happy.

What has SMU done to be put in this category? One 10 win season since 1984.

I think when the conference realignment is all said and done they should have a form of promotion and relegation for teams outside the major conferences like European soccer.

-4 sub conference teams allowed to join for a one year period
-The top two, record wise, continue on into the next year
-The bottom two are relegated back to the sub conferences
-The top two teams from the sub conferences are promoted up to replace them

This keeps all levels, all 125 teams, relevant and technically capable of achieving a championship. It also makes the sub conferences likely more entertaining than the actual major conferences.
